Concept/Setup:
Congressional Mafia is a mafia variant
where the town does not vote to lynch. Instead each townie gets 1
votes(and so does the mafia) for who they want to elect to congress. The
time constraints are much more relevant in this game as the winners
will be decided by the end votes at the end of 2 DAYS. Once a Congress has been elected the representatives (which could be mafia) decide with a 2/3 majority who the town lynch goes to.If the congress cannot
reach a 2/3 majority(Unlikely) the vote turns over to the president a
town role revealed first day with the ability to 'Veto' a congressional
decision something that can only be overturned by a 3/3 consensus or
break a voting tie or make a decision when congress cant decide. The
presidents abilities are generally early game good for scum so the
president might not be the wisest first kill for a scum. If you are a
congressmen for a night you are immune to being killed but you cannot
use your power role if you have one. Mafia NK rules remain the same but
you cant kill congressmen. If you are a mafia member in congress you can
still vote in your chat for a NK but cant be the one to execute it.
After a few days if the game is still active and there are less than 6
players alive the game plunges into 'Anarchy'. All normal voting rules
preceed and the president is forced out of office.

Mafia Setup:

Special Voting Laws:
Town
can vote to do the following things during day instead of voting for a
congressmen(If you vote to do one of these things you cant vote for a
congressmen unless you unvote that turn)
Impeach the President:
You may vote to impeach a president during the day in
which case if you are successful the presidents role is forgoan and the
president is assimilated into the town. If such a event does occur the
next cycle of voting you must cast a normal vote and a special election
vote where you decide whom to elect to the presidency. A very risky
play.
Requires 2/3 Majority Vote
Enact Martial Law:
If
such a motion is passed the democratic voting is suspended for 2
day/night cycles. President Gains the Power of a Investigator(which he
uses in the night) and the authority to Put someone on the 'Hanging
Block'(Also at night) All normal discussion can occur and anyone can
give suggestions to president no kills occur untill after and the
president decides when each day concludes(3 RL day maximum per day).
Once the martial law concludes the very next day the town must vote on
whether or not to execute those on the hanging block and elect a new
congress. All presidents powers return to normal.
Requires 2/3 Majority Vote and Consent of President(President Vote In Favor)
Night Patrols:
If such a motion is passed no actions occur at night including the
actions of the town power roles and the actions of congress. More or
less a vote to extend discussion.Can only occur once every 5 days(So
most likely may only occur once a game or not at all).
Requires Simple Majority Vote(Only action that can be Vetoed by President)
