Roots of the IRON Community
The IRON Gaming Community was born in an online nation simulation game called Cyber Nations. From the Cyber Nations website: "Cyber Nations is a free persistent browser-based nation simulation game. Create a nation anywhere in the world and decide how you will rule your people by choosing a government type, a national religion, ethnicity, tax rate, currency type, and more in this geo-political nation simulator. Build your empire by purchasing infrastructure to support your citizens, land to expand your borders, technology to increase your nation's effectiveness, military to defend your interests, and develop national improvements and wonders to build your nation according to your choosing."
The alliance known as the Independent Republic of Orange Nations (IRON) was initially founded on March 16th, 2006 under the name of "The OD Alliance". The name was changed to the Independent Republic of Orange Nations when the first ruling body (IRON Council) decided to move the alliance to the Orange color sphere in Cyber Nations and IRON formally announced our existence to the Cyber Nations world on April 28th, 2006.
The Independent Republic of Orange Nations (IRON) has been one of the premier alliances in Cyber Nations world since our founding. We are one of the longest tenured alliances in the game and have consistently been one of the top sanctioned alliances (including several stays at #1). IRON is well known in Cyber Nations for our economic (nation building) and military prowess.
The IRON Community is demographically diverse made up of gamers of all ages with an average age between 18-30.There are large player representations from Canada, Europe, and the United States as well as members located in several other countries around the world.

You should read the IRON timeline if you are so interested in their history, it was very well put together and included input from some of the founders.

MVP(Mod’s Choice)= Master Samus; I think Master Samus played amazingly for a guy who claims it was his second only mafia game. He never led the town on him and that’s why he deserves this award. He was impressive in manipulating the town that led to the ultimate mafia victory.
Player of Mafia; Master Samus/emudevelopment (shared); I think both were instrumental in the town’s defeat. Both were manipulative and deceptive. They clearly came out as pro-town and looked like de-facto town leaders. They led the lynch wagon w/o anyone uncovering their true motives.
Samus, you should be proud that you've helped make an environment where people feel safe enough to share their experiences.

Ah yeah. now it works and I remember how much of a pain that was to make with everyone, and that's only 4 years of history. It needs a whole 6 years of updates! I don't envy anyone who ever decides to do that job.
