What do you think of this rig:

 

MoBo: Gigabyte B450M DS3H
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X
Cooler: COOLERMASTER MasterLiquid ML240L RGB
Memory: 24 GB - HyperX 3200 MHz DDR4
GPU: GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER OC 6G
Power unit: Seasonic Focus SGX-450
SSD: SA400S37/240G
HDD: 2TB HDD WD Blue WD20EZRZ
Case: ZALMAN i3 series Edge

 

I can get the whole chebang barely used for just under $1k. I fully trust that the seller is honest in the deal.

 

So, what do you say? Should I go for it?

The buy new price is about 1k too. 

 

You'll need to upgrade the power supply when you upgrade anything on it. If you need a rig and don't want to DIY, it's not a bad buy.

^ What Blade said. Should be good for 1080p gaming. You will want a better card if your going to do 2K or 4K.

 

24GB of RAM is kind of weird, is it 4 sticks of 6GB? Usually RAM is either 16GB or 32GB.

^ Get some info on the RAMs like how many sticks and if they are dual channel (they should be dual channel)

Thanks for the input guys. It seems like a decent machine, but I probably won't buy because I'd like to transition to 4k gaming.

You probably need more than $2k for 4k if you take into account the monitor

 

I'd personally wait 1-2 generations of video card before moving to 4k.
