So Mech first asked me about editing up one for Alpha and it turned out neat. Then Delta put up a topic and I took the Alpha one and customized it for Delta.

Now I figured I'd just do the whole shebang, the mottos definitely need some working mainly because I thought them up with 4hrs of sleep under my belt.

Looks Great

Edited November 8, 200916 yr by Theophilos

Thanks a lot CJ, this looks great in the sig

cool. very cool. although some of the pictures need a bit of sprucing up for the mini ones.

namely: Delta, Foxtrot, Hades(this one especially both big and small), and Kilo.

if i hadnt seen the big ones for those i would have had some difficulty figuring out what they actually were...

Yeah that's the trouble, I come across cool images but it's hard to shrink them down.

What do you suggest on Hades?

not sure. would need to look into a bit more.

i would suggest cleaning up those corners..unless they are supposed to be there...

Yeah they were an attempt at combining two shapes to give an eerie star like shape, guess I failed

I'll try to poke around for a better pic along the theme of Charon/river Styx and see if it works better. If you (or anyone else) finds a good one just pm me the link and I'll play with it.

I think the uniformity and simplicity are what makes the designs. Great idea.

k.

btw if possible could you send me all the files etc that you used to make the delta, foxtrot, Hades, and Kilo ones?

although i use GIMP not PS...

gimp reads photoshop formats

ah sweet.

What about using Cerberus as the pic, the guard dog for the river styx i believe

Sure thing, I've got the original .psd's with the layers still separate (only for the big ones though). No real originals for the icons past their individual layer though

To make the small ones I just removed the text, took out the white background and resized the image 88px wide by 79px high, then saved as .png's.

I'll see if I can find a good pic of Charon and then try Cerberus failing that, if I get time. Got an email I can send to?

pm'd.

and the big ones are fine...those are the ones i would want anyway.

sucks about the icons though...makes working with them a bit harder...

Possible Cerberus pics (not sure what size you want)

Charon Pics

those are great pics but they dont really seem to have scalability...

edit: well the first cerberus and second charon might work depending on how you crop them...

yeah i wasnt sure of size limits that was just a smattering of pictures i could find

give me a size limit and i will search for more

Its not so much a size limit but too busy of a picture (many tiny details, complex backgrounds/color schemes) doesn't translate well. That's why I tried to stick with a predominantly black/white color scheme and simpler images.

As Narsis pointed out with Foxtrot/Hades the details don't stand out well. (I like Foxxy's the way it is though )

Email coming your way momentarily

Is that a flying squirrel in the Echo badge? If so, AWESOME!

EDIT: LOL @ myself, I just clicked for the large image and saw the eagle

Edited November 11, 200916 yr by Schmoo

Oh jesus I can see the squirrel, lol. That's probably all I'll see now

very nice

for the eagle, i'd try to use an eagle's head or those heraldic eagles, like this:

i think it may fit better in the small versions
