So Mech first asked me about editing up one for Alpha and it turned out neat. Then Delta put up a topic and I took the Alpha one and customized it for Delta.

Now I figured I'd just do the whole shebang, the mottos definitely need some working mainly because I thought them up with 4hrs of sleep under my belt.

cool. very cool. although some of the pictures need a bit of sprucing up for the mini ones.

 

namely: Delta, Foxtrot, Hades(this one especially both big and small), and Kilo.

 

if i hadnt seen the big ones for those i would have had some difficulty figuring out what they actually were...

Yeah that's the trouble, I come across cool images but it's hard to shrink them down.

 

What do you suggest on Hades?

not sure. would need to look into a bit more.

I'll try to poke around for a better pic along the theme of Charon/river Styx and see if it works better. If you (or anyone else) finds a good one just pm me the link and I'll play with it.

I think the uniformity and simplicity are what makes the designs. Great idea.

To make the small ones I just removed the text, took out the white background and resized the image 88px wide by 79px high, then saved as .png's.

those are great pics but they dont really seem to have scalability...

 

edit: well the first cerberus and second charon might work depending on how you crop them...

Its not so much a size limit but too busy of a picture (many tiny details, complex backgrounds/color schemes) doesn't translate well. That's why I tried to stick with a predominantly black/white color scheme and simpler images.

 

As Narsis pointed out with Foxtrot/Hades the details don't stand out well. (I like Foxxy's the way it is though )
