I find it hard to get a read on people when players are constantly being replaced.


The activity in this game was awful.
I'm starting to think something needs to be done about the constant replacing out. Anyone got any ideas?

Yes and no. Perhaps it's a tad strict, but ... we could set up this next game with the people that have so far finished the majority of the games they joined. Get up to 2 or 3 replacements that would actively participate, that is would follow the developments from day 1 albeit without actually posting, just so they are up to speed.

This disproves the theory that players with roles don't go inactive.

Nevertheless, the game was well-played and Nerau and AKCPLUTO deserve their win.

I was a townie and didn't have a clue.

I think shorter mafia days would make inactivity less painful.

I made 4 posts in a row over a couple-day period and thought it would never end.

In this particular game, there really was nothing to discuss with a missed investigation and
then the next investigation target gets night-killed.

I would be willing to trial-run a game with shorter days. What do you think? A week? A few days?
I was thinking about something similar to Theo's idea, but it really doesn't give new players much of a chance, and it could just end up sucking the fun out of things a bit.

The games by Bastille Hades had shorter days. Maybe plan on it being short and be liberal with extensions if discussion is truly happening.

As it happened in this game, Theophilos was the cop and had no investigations worthwhile. The townies were blind and the scum blended in. People should post to keep in the spirit of the game but I can half-understand not having anything to contribute.

I would be in favour for shorter days.

How about the day lasting for 5 days (Monday to Friday)?
And the night last 2 days (Saturday and Sunday)?
Since players are less active on the weekends but should at least send in a night action.

i was thinking the same thing. however if the day is going well, would you not want an extension of some kind? with that type of system an extension would mess it up a bit.
