Ok, so a group of myself and 7 other friends normally go to cornwal for the last week of July each year for a walking holiday, sadly this time where we were going is booked. Does anyone have any suggestions or a place they own they wouldn't mind us basing operations in? Internet is great for resources, but I never quite trust the reviews!

I don't think you will find a place that someone owns very easily. My Grandparents have a place but my own family can't stay there this year because of bookings. I've only ever stayed there though so don't have any recommendations. 

Is the area nice?

Polzeath-It is quite nice. The town is a major surfing centre which has pushed the prices up (£800 a week for a three bedroom house) and the next bay is good for windsurfing. Nice countryside around it with some good golf course and nice clifftop walks.
