Setup:

The 2of4 setup is a popular setup for newbies. To prevent the development of game-breaking strategies (e.g. the infamous Follow the Cop strategy), this game is Semi-Open, wherein the actual game setup is randomly chosen from one of six possible setups as detailed below:

• 1 Mafia Goon, 1 Mafia Role Cop, 5 Vanilla Townies, Sane Cop, Doctor.
• 1 Mafia Goon, 1 Mafia Role Cop, 5 Vanilla Townies, Sane Cop, Jailkeeper.
• 1 Mafia Goon, 1 Mafia Role Cop, 5 Vanilla Townies, Doctor, Jailkeeper.
• 1 Mafia Goon, 1 Mafia Role Cop, 6 Vanilla Townies, Sane Cop.
• 1 Mafia Goon, 1 Mafia Role Cop, 6 Vanilla Townies, Jailkeeper.
• 1 Mafia Goon, 1 Mafia Role Cop, 6 Vanilla Townies, Doctor.

The Role Cop has the option of submitting both the night kills and investigations, even when the Goon is still alive. The Mafia must specify who is performing what Night action when the Night action PM is submitted!
 
The Vanilla Bear PM:
 

You are Grumpy Bear, a Vanilla Townie. You are a caring bear.

Abilities:
Democracy - Your weapon is your vote, you have no night actions.

Win Condition:
You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated.

General Rules

• Communication outside the thread (if your role specifically allows it) is allowed until the game begins.
• There is to be NO personal communication outside of the forum postings unless your role PM specifically allows it. If someone contacts you outside the game you should report it to the game Mod IMMEDIATELY.
• Do not bring outside influences into the game - this includes threats, bribes, wagers, promises, alliances, etc. Using knowledge from previous games is perfectly acceptable, but try not to carry grudges from one game to another.
• Do not talk outside the game thread about an ongoing game except where allowed to do so by your role. Likewise, do not use bbcode to hide secret messages - this equates to discussion outside the thread.
• Do not edit/delete posts.
• Do not talk after you are dead or replaced except for a brief Bah!-type post that contains NO game related information.
• Don't post the links to quicktopics that are used unless I give you permission.
• Play to win the game.

Activity/Prods/Replacements

• Prods of missing players will be issued upon request or after 3 real-life days of no activity. The player has 24 hours to respond to the prod.
• A player who has been prodded 3 times is subject to possible replacement without further notice (player-requested prods do not count towards this total).
• If you anticipate being unavailable for more than a 72-hour period please PM the Mod so that you don't get replaced!

Deadlines

• Days will be as long as the number of players alive.
• Nights will be 48 hours, possibly extended to include a weekday.
• If you have a role with a Night action your choices are due to me by the posted deadline. If I do not receive your choice via PM by the posted deadline you will forfeit your actions.
• Deadlines may be shortened if activity is too low, or if all Night choices have been received early.

Player Actions/Voting/Player Death

• Lynches will happen when a Majority is reached (half of living players + 1, rounded down).
• If players so choose, you can vote for No lynch. Normal Majority is required for a No Lynch to pass.
• If at deadline there is no Majority, a No Lynch will occur.
• Once there is a Majority, votes cannot be taken back. The decision is final.
• When a player is lynched the game enters twilight until I post a death scene; all players may continue to post.
• Any player with a Night action may instead submit a "No Action" PM to let the Mod know that you do not want to perform your expected action that Night phase.

Miscellaneous

• This color is reserved for the Mod. Don't use it.
• No invisible/small/encrypted text is allowed.
• Modkills will be enforced. If you do something that is a modkillable offense, it will be done in a way that is detrimental to your faction. You will be changed to a neutral survivor (automatic lose).
• If you find loopholes in any of the rules and use them it is considered not good sportsmanship. This doesn't apply to game mechanics of course. If you find a loophole that seems important please do not hesitate to notify me immediately.

Grumpy Bear
Grumpy Bear shows that while it's okay to be grumpy sometimes, it is also silly to let grumpiness go too far.
He has also been the inventor/mechanic for the rest of the Care Bears.
Anytime any other Care Bear calls him in the middle of his work, he accidentally bumps his head.
He is cynical, surly, and rarely happy, hence his name, but he does value his friends and smiles on special occasions.

But Grumpy Bear has been killed by Professor Coldheart and Frostbite!
The town must find these uncaring villains.

It is Day 1.

Professor Coldheart
Professor Coldheart is the Care Bears' first main nemesis in the first two TV specials and the DiC series. He is a mad scientist and inventor of numerous devices which he uses in his attempts to rid the world of caring. He has white hair. His scarf is blue and white and is positioned on his back. His first appearance is "The Land Without Feelings". His solitary song is self-titled which is performed after Kevin asks him who he is and he makes his slaves out of other kids.

Just a tip on the random voting stage: it ends when at least one player thinks someone voted not randomly. It's not supposed to drag on for days.

 

Okay let's make it clear that a "No Lynch" is a terrible idea unless it's MYLO.

In fact, whoever does it should be treated as scum because it's anti-town.

Also inactivity is terrible. Please no excuse like "but I don't have anything to say" or

"I already voted my suspected player so I won't say anything anymore."

 

It's impossible that you won't have opinions formed from the players' posts

and we need people to interact with other. That way, we can try to deduce

who is genuinely townie, who is pretending to scum hunt or to be active,

and who the scum team are.

Frostbite
Frostbite is Professor Coldheart's dim-witted assistant. He often ruins his employer's inventions accidentally. He hates the Care Bears and does everything he can to stop them from their mission of spreading caring. Frostbite was a character on the first two Care Bears specials and the television series

Rafay's vote on Kazio is the only vote that has really stuck out to me, since Rafay said that he won't be dragged into voting early, but he has voted anyways.
