That is true. The younger generation has been more integrated and seems to have less of a pre determined stereotype in mind.

From what I am hearing there could be some Mulsim/Shiite ties to the brothers. At this point though, any information brought out by the media should be verified independently before believing it. The coverage of this story has been appalling.

I believe that in fact after 9/11 the first revenge killing in the US was of a Sikh gas station owner in Arizona, who had been mistakenly identified as Arab by someone wanting to perform his own little reprisal: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Balbir_Singh_Sodhi

I actually attending MIT for undergraduate and have many friends still there or working in the Boston area.  Thankfully they are all ok (though the one who was running in the marathon came close to not being so; she was only 3-4 blocks from one of the bomb sites), and the rest of the world is showing its compassion toward all involved in this series of tragic events.

appalling to say the least. It is disgraceful to journalists everywhere. What ever happened to verifying information before streaming it ON NATIONAL NEWS. I'm glad some news agencies have made it a point in the past couple days to actually independently verify most/all information coming in.

Well its over. They finally managed to capture one of the suspects alive. Very impressive that it was solved so quickly with almost no leads to go off of, and then to capture one of them alive. I linked a timeline a news website ran so we can start to get a better picture of what actually went on. I expect more details to come shortly and fill in some of the gaps.

Do you believe the claims that there were no outside ties?

A few "coincidences" that happened.

The older brother leaves the country, goes to Chechnya and possibly Russia, comes back with more radical ideas. Then makes more trips to that area. Was flagged by Russia as having developed more radical ideals.

Then there is the whole issue with Obama and the Saudi who was proclaimed innocent and immediately rushed out of the country before the FBI or local law enforcement could talk to him.

I am not a big conspiracy person, but when our government is acting this way it is hard to take things at face value.
