I'm just going to quote something I saw someone post elsewhere:

Alcohol: ~232

Preventable medical errors: ~120

STIs: ~54
Drug abuse: ~46
We're living in the most peaceful time in human history. Violence has been steadily decreasing for centuries.
What has changed is the media coverage of violence. Despite violence decreasing, we hear -significantly- more about it than we used to, and the media does their best to rake in the views because they want money.
