You add people by one of their character names, not their account name.  Hence I made a lvl 1 character that I don't touch called "Aenir" just to reserve it.

 

So, need your character's name bud.

Downloaded this on Steam recently so I'll have to give it a shot. Looks good from the images and reviews I've seen.
