As someone in 2nd year of a PhD program ... yes, worth it eventually. Whenever that may be ...
We can make it. We will survive. Kudos to you though for going for a PhD!
My BS will take 5 years, took a semester off for an internship (worth it) and another for other reasons. Then grad school, total will be around 5-6 years... I can't imagine doing about 8-10 years. Congratulations though!

I got a 4.0 my first semester in college. The only reasonable outcome should be for me to take 18 hours of class a week now!
