Within the Palestinian Authority area, there are 8% Christian and 17% Jewish. I remember my local Catholic Diocese running a number of initiatives to support Christians in Palestine. 

 

That said, this measure is mostly "look at our good Foreign Relations, don't look at our imploding economy."

oh wow. The obvious solution is to declare war on all muslim majority countries. Thats the only way to eradicate 23% of the worlds population.

I believe it's high time that people stop killing other people in the name of God... or using God as an excuse to do so.

 

If a huge block of Christians decided they would kill people that didn't believe in the New Testament, I would be firmly in favor of holding the faith responsible for their actions. Strange that I didn't say anything about declaring war on anyone. I said I would declare Islam a form of Government in order to eliminate the excuse to kill people for not following a religion. Is that war? I guess I'm right to be concerned that my head stays on my neck as long as I stay in my own country.

 

When it becomes a danger to humanity, something must done about it. I myself would be in favor of isolation, but I guess there is too much profit involved that prevents "doing the right thing". That worthless hunk of sand called Israel means something only to the Jews that believe it's Holy Land, and to the Muslims that desire to take it from them. It's been going on for centuries. I myself would never want to live in a house that is surrounded by a dozen other houses, that want me dead... but that's just me. But I'm an American and my Government back in the day made a promise to protect Israel, so that's what I will do, and I don't agree that getting weak on it will help. My advice would be to take all that oil cash and buy it from them. Do it the Capitalist way. If they don't want to sell... leave them alone.

I should note that the US isolation policy is what helped World War 2 get started. Even the relaxed mindset after the Cold War helped the success of the 2001 Trade Center attacks. As much as I would love for our country to shut itself out to half of the world, we are too powerful and we have enemies out there who plan to do us harm.

I can be sarcastic and say thank you... but i'm not a "red-neck". I grew up and lived most of my life in Southern California. Rock and Roll and beaches. I went to private military school before I grew my hair long, bought a Gibson Explorer, and wasted a couple decades playing clubs and delving in graphic arts. I married my high school girlfriend, we have raised 4 kids, and she is my best friend. You are absolutely correct on your entire list, but I only enjoy the company of red-necks, and us Tea Party people are not "apologists"... I don't know where you got that from. I hope you're not implying the red-neck label as racist, because that's not true. I know many black "red-necks"... I take it you mean southerners.

Not one modern country in the world ever want to do harm against the United States, not even China and Russia. China only wants to secure Asia Pacific for itself, while Russia only wants to secure Europe for itself. They are too interdependent with the United States.

 

Meanwhile, terrorist and rogue countries such as the Islamic State, Iran, North Korea, and other dictator-led countries across Africa are definitely no match for the political, economic, and military might of the United States. They are drown beneath their own delusions.

 

However, one must realize that when a country is on the top of the world, the real danger usually comes from within that country. Corruption, racism, and violence are among the real issues which threatens a superpower.

 

If we only can remember the fall of the Roman, Mongol, Spanish, Chinese, or British Empire...
