October 3, 201412 yr comment_710407 So I have two options for early action for college. One is Stanford and the other is Caltech. i plan to major in mathematics. If anyone could offer suggestions as to the pros and cons of both universities, in an unbiased manner, it would be deeply helpful. Report
October 3, 201412 yr comment_710481 phdcomics is based at Stanford? And Big Bang Theory is set at Caltech. I don't know if that helps or not. Report
October 3, 201412 yr comment_710504 I think it largely depends on what you plan on doing after. Do you have any idea at all? Report

October 4, 201412 yr comment_710527 Do you plan on teaching math or getting a Ph.D? Otherwise switch to engineering. Also if I remember correctly early actions means you have to decide by December or something, at least I think that is how it was for me out of high school, I suggest being careful on making a hasty decision. October 4, 201412 yr comment_710562 I have a math teacher that took math as a major. He said be prepared to write 5 page proofs only to realize that it's completely wrong. Report
October 4, 201412 yr comment_710593 Well I have no opinion on either school one way or another, I just have the math view as it was something I always loved, but never really enjoyed the career aspects of such a degree hence my choice to go the engineering route. Grades aside you could always go the two year route and save a ton of money and boost up everything for when you transfer. Just a few thoughts. Yeah proofs, my friends who went the math route speak highly of them. XD Report

Aim high... don't be a tool... achieve greatness. Do that up there and I'll have your picture on the $50, because Grant was a crook. Report
