Ferguson is a big deal over at the United States, and many people have come to believe that black people (or whatever the politically correct term for people who just have a different colored skin) are inherently more violent than "us civilized white men". This is, so I am told, proven by many youtube clips where pranksters go "in da hood" and provoke the locals and get a violent reaction every single time.

These guys did the same: the walked into a neighbourhood and asked the first Brotha they came across if they could give them a punch:

Funny satirical video, but I suspect those other videos are more of a U.S. South vs. rest of the country thing. U.S. Southerners (white & black) are very particular about etiquette and pranks could get you shot here. Those guys who tape themselves groping women on the street would end up in the hospital very quickly if they did that in the South. 

 

Most African Americans throughout the U.S. came from the South originally, and kept that same culture. The bad part about strict codes of conduct: it makes you angry when someone violates it, especially if they strike against someone you care about.

 

Ferguson was more about two things: the militarization of police training and the city's lack of PR. When something like that happens, your politicians can't just clam up out of fear. They need to speak out or radicals will take over the conversation.

All these stupid ocktv youtube pranksters are so stupid, I had this argument with someone the other day and really got annoyed. Videos like this piss me off, the positive ones and negative ones.

No, they're not being aggressive has nothing to do with skin color.

These people do it for entertainment, they go out and find black people to conduct this "social experiment"  on.  They then show footage of only cases where black people were being aggressive and occasionally add in some non violent cases to make it seam real.  This creates the image that blacks are violent.

If a black person would do the same in a mostly white neighborhood like mine and only show the violent actions would you say the same about us?
People are too easily influenced by the media. Can't blame them though...that's what the media is good at, influencing people.

I've read sometime ago about a post war (II world war) research that some guy has done on black US military personnel that has has stayed for some time in Western Europe. Their children were no different than white kids. The conclusion of the research was that behavior and mental capabilities does not depend on race but rather on a subculture one is growing up in.

Simply put, it doesn't matter what race you are. If you intentionally provoke somebody for a specific response, you'll probably get that response regardless of race or culture.

Exactly, what many people fail to realize is that the problem doesn't lie with skin color but where they grow up. If you grow up in a violent neighborhood you're going to think what happens there is normal. The exact same thing with caucasian but there's a larger amount of them than blacks so you're much more likely to not notice.
For example: if you have 500 whites and 65 blacks(13% of the us is black) and 30 from each race are violent/criminals you're more likely to label the blacks as violent because a larger percentage of them is. 
 

Also doesn't help that a lot of them grow up under bad circumstances.
