Hey guys!  This is sort of a shameless plug, but I recently started streaming more frequently.  I play StarCraft 2, LoL, and Hearthstone.  Not claiming I'm a pro at any of them, far, far from it, but if anyone plays and needs some tips or advice, or wants to offer any up then stop in!  It would be much appreciated.  Also, since I'm normally up and around late I'll be streaming my CN attacks during the war.  It isn't the most exciting thing to watch, but I'm on at update all the time anyway!

Yeah man!  I just started playing again recently (and not very much yet).  I played a lot in WoL, but haven't played more than 50 games of HotS.  Just getting prepared for LotV woo!

In which division did you end Season 4?

I play dota 2.

 

I have starcraft 2 and the expansion but I haven't finished the human campaign yet. I have too many games :/

im pretty bad at sc2, havent mustered up the courage to 1v1 someone yet. ladder anxiety before i even start

I didn't put in much of a ranked grind this season, but I finished in silver 2.  I started playing LoL toward the end of season 2, and in season 3 I grinded my way from bronze 5 (probably wasn't a good idea to hit 30 and go right to ranked, but w/e) to silver 1 and then riot sent me back to bronze 3 at the start of season 4 (wtf!?) so I got really discouraged and didn't have much motivation.  Hoping I can finish next season high gold/low plat.  Like I said, I'm not pro...but I'm better than a silver ranking.  And yeah, everyone says that, but I do fine vs high gold/low plat players.  really high plat and diamond players kinda change the game though :\

IRON STARCRAFT NIGHT!  Sounds like we're all kind of around the same level.  And yeah man, ladder anxiety pretty much halted every progressive step I took.  When I was playing in WoL I was in gold, playing customs with diamonds, easily beating plats, but the first 2-3 games I would play in a ladder session had me shaking and sweating and misplacing buildings.  And then intense moments during long games saw me completely fall apart from sheer "omg i can't even handle this pressure!"  I would make a terrible progamer!

 

Playing with friends certainly helps relieve some of that, though.  Not all of it, but some.

Yeah I know what you mean. Elo hell is definitely a thing. I'm Silver II as well and it's basically a lottery. Do you get ok teammates or not? Unless you're so much more better and able to carry and you're teammates aren't feeding like crazy, then you can climb out of it, but the rest of us that are try-harding are stuck in elo hell

Yeah I know what you mean. Elo hell is definitely a thing. I'm Silver II as well and it's basically a lottery. Do you get ok teammates or not? Eh, teams are a pretty solid mix of good and bad.  I seem to avoid disconnects and afkers, but I do get quite a few feeders and people who don't really belong in ranked (I consider bronze 5-gold 5 to be pretty much the same).  People just play too many random champions.  I firmly believe in having a small, select rotation of champions and grinding with them.  People will have 2 games played on a fiddlesticks and be like, "FIDDLE SUPPORT.  I'M PRO! IS GUD!"  No, just play your normal damn champions.  Most "counters" can be overcome by skill and intelligence...Communication is also lacking in a lot of games.  The new jungle and dragon have turned people stupid

 

Shooting to be on tonight streaming around update!  Probably get hit with the CN busy signal, so looking to launch my attacks at about 1:15.  Maybe grab a new target as well.  After that will be some late night gaming!

 

Is anyone playing Hearthstone or Heroes of the Storm?
