[EMU-01] Congressional Mafia Day 3

Welcome To Congressional Mafia!

Concept/Setup:

Congressional Mafia is a mafia variant
where the town does not vote to lynch. Instead each townie gets 1
votes(and so does the mafia) for who they want to elect to congress. The
time constraints are much more relevant in this game as the winners
will be decided by the end votes at the end of 2 DAYS.
Once a Congress has been elected the representatives (which could be mafia) decide with a 2/3 majority who the town lynch goes to.If the congress cannot
reach a 2/3 majority(Unlikely) the vote turns over to the president a
town role revealed first day with the ability to 'Veto' a congressional
decision something that can only be overturned by a 3/3 consensus or
break a voting tie or make a decision when congress cant decide. The
presidents abilities are generally early game good for scum so the
president might not be the wisest first kill for a scum. If you are a
congressmen for a night you are immune to being killed but you cannot
use your power role if you have one. Mafia NK rules remain the same but
you cant kill congressmen. If you are a mafia member in congress you can
still vote in your chat for a NK but cant be the one to execute it.
After a few days if the game is still active and there are less than 6
players alive the game plunges into 'Anarchy'. All normal voting rules
preceed and the president is forced out of office.

Town Setup:
5 Townies( With Power Roles Mixed In)
1 Presidential Bodyguard
1 President
Mafia Setup:
2 Mafias

Special Voting Laws:
Town
can vote to do the following things during day instead of voting for a
congressmen(If you vote to do one of these things you cant vote for a
congressmen unless you unvote that turn)

Impeach the President:
You may vote to impeach a president during the day in
which case if you are successful the presidents role is forgoan and the
president is assimilated into the town. If such a event does occur the
next cycle of voting you must cast a normal vote and a special election
vote where you decide whom to elect to the presidency. A very risky
play.

Requires 2/3 Majority Vote
Enact Martial Law:
If
such a motion is passed the democratic voting is suspended for 2
day/night cycles. President Gains the Power of a Investigator(which he
uses in the night) and the authority to Put someone on the 'Hanging
Block'(Also at night) All normal discussion can occur and anyone can
give suggestions to president no kills occur untill after and the
president decides when each day concludes(3 RL day maximum per day).
Once the martial law concludes the very next day the town must vote on
whether or not to execute those on the hanging block and elect a new
congress. All presidents powers return to normal.

Requires 2/3 Majority Vote and Consent of President(President Vote In Favor)
Night Patrols:

If such a motion is passed no actions occur at night including the
actions of the town power roles and the actions of congress. More or
less a vote to extend discussion. Can only occur once every 5 days(So
most likely may only occur once a game or not at all).

Requires Simple Majority Vote(Only action that can be Vetoed by President)

You Will Be Sent A Role PM Within 24 Hours

Vote for Congress: KevinH

Just to make it all official.

I vow to crack down on litter bugs and people who drive too slow in the passing lane if elected. Also we can have a kegger at my house as long as we don't get too loud.

Town Setup:

7 Townies( With Power Roles Mixed In)

1 Presidential Bodyguard

1 President

Mafia Setup:

3 Mafias

In the above list, I interpret it as 10 players.

However, we only have 9 players:

Correct Mr President. What if some the congressmen disguise themselves as mafia?

Well they'll obviously try to go for the kills. I'll want good reasons to pass the lynch the congress proposes.

Correct and good point Mr.President.

That is the route the mafia is gonna take,I'm just assuming.

unvote Kevin

vote: Kaziocore

Make it interesting.

y u do dis?!

Kazio has yet to post, we're voting for congress, not to lynch.. and the day is nearly over. How is this good for town?

FoS EM

ah okay, I didn't see Kazio post yesterday. Makes a little more sense now.. still not sure it was a good idea though. Depending on how the congress elections work (which, tbh I'm still a little confused on)

Does the election go through automatically once they reach a majority of votes?

Should we all focus our votes on one person to get them elected, then the next, then the next.. or can we get them all 3 elected at once?

i don't see why lobbying would be a problem. i'd actually prefer it i people would lobby both or lynching others and to provide support or their preferred congressmen.

Yes

At least won't be like the Jack Abramoff Scandal haha

How about this, we enact Night Patrols so no one will die on N1

We then pick someone to lynch today so that leaves us with 8 players.

On D2, we enact martial law and let the president investigate someone.

He also uses his night action to kill someone and then the mafia will kill another

so that will leave us with 6 players on D3 and still 1 player short of an anarchy.

Vote: Night Patrols

MOD: How long will the congress vote on who to lynch?

Just to add, on D2 if we haven't lynched any mafia we'll have this setup

President - Rafay

President Bodyguard

Mafia

Mafia

Town

Town

Town

Town

The Presidential Bodyguard will roleclaim so now we'll have 2 mafia and 4 town players to choose from.

Since we'll pick 3 congressmen from this group, there's a high chance that all mafia we'll join it but that's okay

because this mean's they can't kill anyone at night.

If there's no night kill, that's great, we'll have 3 confirmed players (President, President's investigated player, and Presidential Bodyguard).

This doesn't mean that there are no mafia in the remaining town players because they could have sent no actions.

If there's a night kill, there's 100% chance that one of the players who were not congressman is scum. The president should definitely kill

one of them.

Also if two players come out as the presidential bodyguard, then that's fine too because we'll lynch one of them. The president can kill

the imposter if we mislynched.

5 Townies( With Power Roles Mixed In)

If there's a doctor, he should protect the Presidential Bodyguard.

The presidential bodyguard will protect the president.
