Concept/Setup:

Congressional Mafia is a mafia variant
where the town does not vote to lynch. Instead each townie gets 1
votes(and so does the mafia) for who they want to elect to congress. The
time constraints are much more relevant in this game as the winners
will be decided by the end votes at the end of 2 DAYS. Once a Congress has been elected the representatives (which could be mafia) decide with a 2/3 majority who the town lynch goes to.If the congress cannot
reach a 2/3 majority(Unlikely) the vote turns over to the president a
town role revealed first day with the ability to 'Veto' a congressional
decision something that can only be overturned by a 3/3 consensus or
break a voting tie or make a decision when congress cant decide. The
presidents abilities are generally early game good for scum so the
president might not be the wisest first kill for a scum. If you are a
congressmen for a night you are immune to being killed but you cannot
use your power role if you have one. Mafia NK rules remain the same but
you cant kill congressmen. If you are a mafia member in congress you can
still vote in your chat for a NK but cant be the one to execute it.
After a few days if the game is still active and there are less than 6
players alive the game plunges into 'Anarchy'. All normal voting rules
preceed and the president is forced out of office.

2 Mafias

Special Voting Laws:
Town
can vote to do the following things during day instead of voting for a
congressmen(If you vote to do one of these things you cant vote for a
congressmen unless you unvote that turn)
Impeach the President:
You may vote to impeach a president during the day in
which case if you are successful the presidents role is forgoan and the
president is assimilated into the town. If such a event does occur the
next cycle of voting you must cast a normal vote and a special election
vote where you decide whom to elect to the presidency. A very risky
play.
Requires 2/3 Majority Vote
Enact Martial Law:
If
such a motion is passed the democratic voting is suspended for 2
day/night cycles. President Gains the Power of a Investigator(which he
uses in the night) and the authority to Put someone on the 'Hanging
Block'(Also at night) All normal discussion can occur and anyone can
give suggestions to president no kills occur untill after and the
president decides when each day concludes(3 RL day maximum per day).
Once the martial law concludes the very next day the town must vote on
whether or not to execute those on the hanging block and elect a new
congress. All presidents powers return to normal.
Requires 2/3 Majority Vote and Consent of President(President Vote In Favor)
Night Patrols:

If such a motion is passed no actions occur at night including the
actions of the town power roles and the actions of congress. More or
less a vote to extend discussion.Can only occur once every 5 days(So
most likely may only occur once a game or not at all).
Requires Simple Majority Vote(Only action that can be Vetoed by President)

I'm doing what I can to have the town win.  If I get lynched and the scum get a kill, then the town loses.  I think that's your plan, anyway.

I am the middle between Kevin's  and EM's position right now are both saying two different things with different citizens and different members congress. 

 

I would have to see more discussion  between you and EM, right now is a pivotal moment for town. If we fail to pick the right one we lose but if we choose the right one we win. 

there's a couple of things that irk me.

 

1. EM, how come you wanted to be elected to congress n1 considering that you seem to be the cop?

We stick with my plan. Kevin's alternative methods are flawed and would lead to an easy mafia win.

Me, Mario, and Kevin stay citizens

Killgor, big ego, and roadtovictory are congress

Congress lynches Kevin the scum, Kevin night kills me.

Town begins the next day with a 3-1 advantage.

I'm willing to take the chance that EM is townie and will support for Congress: Mario, EM and me.

We need to get lucky and pick the right target to lynch and would like to hear discussion first.

 

From my perspective, it's between Killgor and EM. EM wrongly wants to lynch me so I now believe that Killgor is more likely to be townie.

Kill for i never once tried to get on congress. Read back through both days if you don't believe me.

 

I've laid it all out this time and no one has refuted any of my claims. Believe me or Kevin, who has done nothing to prove his townieness.

Who was on that other congress that lynched congress? Wasn't it EM and Kevin that was on it? I feel like it could be them working together or not but they may seem to hide their actions.

Either Killgor or Electric Mango is scum (but not both).

Lynching me will lose the game for the town unless the other scum is also in Congress (in which case the town would know the 3rd member is scum and have a 50% chance of correctly guessing whether Killgor or EM is scum).

The best chance for the town is with me in Congress.

Personally, I've found EM's posting suspecious from the start. Everything he says it feels like there is an ulterior motive. Road2Victory & KevinH seem to be the most earnest in trying to figure out who is scum. Going with my gut on this one.

I haven't posted in a while because I got busy for the past two days. We were just continuing our discussion on who should be congress. I feel like a wise choice could be what big ego said earlier. There's more than one way that things can happen but we need to do one rite. I don't know why but my gut feeling makes me feel like EM is suspicious.

We need one more vote for road to victory to keep Kevin out of office.

I shall prod mario soon. 2 days left in this day I gave it a extension because of how close we are to the end.

Kevin always plays follow the cop. Well now I'm "the cop" and he is totally against me.

 

I am the only one who has role claimed and no one has refuted it.

What I know is that with this setup and no "investigations", we have been able to get information based on who is not in Congress when a night-kill occurs.

 

I also know that we could have made the president an investigator.

 

I think another investigator in the setup is probably too much.

 

But most of all I know that I'm a townie and that someone who claims to be a cop and investigated someone else wants to lynch me.

Is somebody able to replace me? I will be gone on July 7th-July 21st and I don't know if we are going to get through this day. And I think the game will end by the time I get back. 

So, is this gonna go somewhere?
