Compulsive Visitors must visit every night.  The risk is that they might visit an armed paranoid gun owner.

That makes me feel better. I thought we were going to have a repeat of, "Don't use your night actions, you'll screw the town" crap. 

The jailkeeper role does not prevent a Mafia Paranoid Gun Owner from arming themselves. (... and killing a townie that visits)

 

 

Mafia 1-Shot Paranoid Gun Owner

• Welcome, [Player Name]. You are a Mafia 1-Shot Paranoid Gun Owner, along with your partner [Player Name].

Abilities:

• Paranoid Gun Owner: During one night of your choice, you may arm yourself. If any players successfully target you that night, they will die.

Factional communication: During the night phase you may talk with your partner here [QuickTopic link].

Factional kill: Each night you or your partner may submit the name of a player to attempt to kill, regardless of whether you're armed.

Win condition:

• You win when all members of the town have been eliminated or nothing can prevent this from occurring.

Cop

• Welcome, [Player Name], you are a Cop.

Abilities:

• Investigate: Each night you may target another player to attempt to learn their alignment. If successful, you will receive a result of Town or Mafia

Win condition:

• You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated.

Abilities:

• Jailkeep: Each night you may target another player to jailkeep them. If successful, they will be prevented from performing any active abilities, and will protect them from kils. This will not prevent a Mafia Paranoid Gun Owner from arming themselves.

Win condition:

• You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated.

A Jailkeeper (or Jailer)'s Night Action is one that protects its target from kills, but also Roleblocks its target. Unlike Doctor, Jailkeeper's protection extends to stopping every kill that would resolve on the target by default.
Because it is a combination Doctor and Roleblocker, Jailkeeper has a myriad of uses while not allowing broken combinations or exactly confirming anyone as Town or scum. Thus, it has risen to prominence as a very popular power role.
Because it is a Roleblocker, Jailkeeper is never allowed to self-target.
