Been playing the beta for the last 2 days and omg such a big improvement from the last 3 games.
I love the feel, the new specialists and the guns are all easy to handle.
Especially since i've mostly only been able to play COD decently on a pc.
You have the kinda exo movements, but it's really just slide and a very limited jump, so it's not as annoying as AW with everyone jumping all over the place
Kinda reminds me of MW2 days.
Anyway amazon sent me three codes, i've used one and gave another to my other friend, so if you have a PS4 and want to get in on some beta action, drop a reply and i'll send you my extra code.
You have to add me on PS4 though
Beta for PS4 ends this Sunday so get in on it while you can
Missed this topic. But yea dude, we can finally maybe game together. I see you on a lot, mostly playing games I stopped, like AW.
But about BO3 Beta, I was quite pleased to say the least. I've literally bought the last 3 or so COD's to play for a day or two and never again (BO2, Ghost, AW). It had a good feel to it, some new aspects to the game like specials that are more seen in other games, never COD. Only thing I disliked about Beta was that it was quite laggy, but that's to be expected with the amount of people who got on. My only hope is that when the game actually releases that they have server load worked out and ready to go, as it usually takes days after a new COD to come out that it's not lagging like shit.
But the game was fun...found some guns that are going to be my go to likely, the Razerback or whatever sub machine gun will likely be my main. I don't like the M4 or whatever, 3 round burst assault rifle. Way to OP, reminds me back in the old COD's of the Type 95, and everyone was using it so hopefully they nerf it a bit. Maps they had were all pretty small, which I like. I did well in it, the different unique classes are cool....not sure I am in love with them, but it's a different idea to throw in. I started using the nomad class with Swarms, when someone runs by, like flies eat them alive, quite funny. Killstreaks are neat, some new, some old. I hate Exo in AW, and when I heard they brought it to this I instantly thought I'd hate it. That being said, the exo boosts are quick and short, not halo jumping like AW that made me quit. The running on walls is cool...I wonder if some people start mastering that if it'll make me rage.
But all and all it was a good beta. I look forward to it coming out, which I can't say for a COD in years though I always buy them. Sounds like Nuketown is coming back again (mixed feelings). It's going to be tough though, as the new Destiny Taken King is coming out, black ops 3, and battlefront which looks spectacular. Good thing it's all near Winter for me when I have extra time
Decent review.
And I agree the Razerback is beast, it's like the easiest gun to handle. Something like a UMP45 from mw2 with range and accuracy.
At one point the hellstorm killstreak or whatever was overpowered, I remember killing the entire enemy team on numerous occassions with that one killstreak, but I think they nerfed it now.
Also Reaper's specialist weapon was way way overpowered at one point, but I think that's been nerfed too.
The killstreak I hate the most is the R.A.P.S, really annoying on the receiving end of it.
Also the spawns are still not that too good.
I also think the wall running is a bit hard to actually have air combat with, because once you stop running, you fall, but I can anticipate these 12 year old trickshotters mastering it
Aye, I can imagine there will be people who really get that down pack (running on walls). That's where I think I may not like it, when you're on a one on one gun fight and someone jumps up on side of a wall near you and runs behind you. I found your best bet is to aim down sights at all times while on the wall. No one really conquered it while I played, and mainly if someone tried it, they usually got killed instantly when they tried to land. I was able to kill a few off jumping off running on the walls, but never was great.
Spawns sucked, but that's to be imaginable. I mainly only played TDM because it's was really the only one you could find a lobby while in a party. Did try some Demolition, which has always been my favorite, and glad to see it there....didn't try any other game modes. I am a big Domination player as well, but with the maps that were open to play, they're too small IMO for DOM, as the middle B flag would be hard to capture or take. Many time on TDM i had people spawn right behind me, kinda sucked.
Yea RAPS are annoying, I got killed my own teammates as well. I got them once in a care package, nice to have. I wasn't having much luck with my hellstorms, usually only one or 2. The one helicopter i got from a care package racked me up some major kills.
I ran engineer a lot, hacked a lot of UAV's and things. Tried a few attachments on guns...a lot of times I saw no difference in quickness of kills using a silencer or not, I felt rapid fire on the razerback didn't actually increase rate of fire, and the stronger bullet attachment or whatever it was I saw no difference. The water aspect of the game was kinda cool too.
Razerback is definitely a beast, easy to control, good iron sights as well. I am one who doesn't like to take up a spot with a scope/red dot, and it's the only one I unlocked and was able to use that I felt I didn't need one. The Kuda was alright for a starter SMG...the one that was fastest rate of fire (vesper or weevil) was way to quick, only good if you are right beside them. AR-7 or whatever assault rifle was nice as well. Didn't try any shotguns, i hate shotguns and people who run around with them. Hate they have rocket launcher, i hate noobtubes, but only got killed by a few. Different they don't give you a knife either, you have to equip it, so you have to punch people instead, which takes 2 hits.
I wait to see how many more guns they bring to it. I've seen lists of quite a lot of each class...so wait to see. I feel the brought down the exo where it's not a game changer like before, I just am not a fan of people jumping while in a gun fight and some people have mastered it. I am a good drop shooter, but I found I seemed to die quicker every time I tried. All in all, I think they did a good job of bringing new changes to COD, but also keeping it close to the older CODS which I like (AW took it too far).
