January 2, 201610 yr Author comment_820496 Tldr: George Martin basically said that tWoW will not be coming before season 6 and season 6 may or may not contain spoilers. I can understand what he says about pressure of deadlines, I do hope we get the book in 2016. I like the show and the books, it was the show that got me into the books, and I will follow both. Report

January 2, 201610 yr comment_820502 They knew years ago that Martin was a lazy writer, and taking on GoT was a risk because it was an unfinished story. They calculated his history with how long it takes him to poop out a book and knew that he would never be able to keep up with the show schedule. David Benioff and D.B. Weiss know everything already, and have known for years. It was part of the deal that they know the story in case Martin dies... he's an old guy. I have never read any of the books. I enjoy the show too much to kill it's greatness with conflicting character plots, missing details, and completely different outcomes. I will leave that to those other people that have no life. I'm utterly elated that it's all over now and no one can tell me what happens before it happens. Some trivia that I discovered recently... I pulled out the DVD of the movie "Troy" to watch a couple weeks ago because I was bored... you know the one with Brad Pitt? Well anyway, I'm a credit watcher... drives my wife nuts in movie theaters, but I was amazed to see who wrote the screenplay of Troy... and it was David Benioff. Report
January 2, 201610 yr comment_820531 The books are good but I think the problem is that by the end of Dance with Dragons the characters were so spread out and so far scattered (even more so than in the TV series) that drawing them into a coherent story would be impossible. I mean, you have bran in the far North, Arya in Bravos, Daenerys in the Dothraki sea, the Iron Islanders sailing after the far east, Sam in Old Town, Jamie and Brien in the middle somewhere, Catelyn wondering around as a dead woman, like seriously, how do you coherently bring that together in a plausible manner? THe series is already leaving out characters to keep semblance of order, but the books don't have that option. Report

Then you didn't like the politics, or religious differences, between the two factions. Would not have been much of a movie without it, but I guess it wasn't much of a movie for you, with it. That movie is the cause of Brad Pitt swearing off ever doing another big epic project again. He hated making that movie, and soon after he blew up his marriage to Aniston. That was more because of "Mr. and Mrs. Smith", but that was where it began. It was a hard movie for him to make. Report

What I hated the most about this is Eric Bana was my favorite character in Black Hawk Down.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v67K9pJsjbQI literally watch this movie again for this scene & the beach one. This scene is just way too intense, the way the music flows with the fight choreography and the way Achilles is just so confident in his fighting abilities, also the way Achilles stares at Priam as he drags his son's body away after, like "wtf you gon do son?!". Ahhh! Intense!! I love it! 1:06 - 1:12, that demi-god strength there! Report
