Hi guys as suggested, i've setup a mafiabot on my server to be played for people looking to enjoy an old time irc game.

 

I'll like to use this thread to announce when i'll be organising mass games.

 

Next game is at 6pm CN Time Thursday the 18th of Feb.

 

Currently the bot only provides the current game themes as follows:

 

 20:24  ~MafiaBot        • internet: The internet!

 20:24  ~MafiaBot        • changeling: Changeling Game

 20:24  ~MafiaBot        • mexican: Arriba arriba! Tijuana Nights: el Chupacabras.

 20:24  ~MafiaBot        • vampire: Vampire game

 20:24  ~MafiaBot        • default: Bog standard werewolf game

 

But i'll be sure to add some CN related themes that relate to some of the global wars or coalitions.

 

Maybe CnG vs Oculus, Equilibrium vs Doomhouse etc etc etc

Games get really fun the more players there are, so let's make this work.

 

mafia:town ratio is 1:5

 

*Villager/Town:

Gets to !vote during the Day, and sleep at night.

 

 

*Mafia/Scum:

Gets to !vote at night on who to eat, and !vote during the day on who to lynch, pretending to be a villager all along.

 

There is one wolf in the smallest game possible (6 players). The ratio of wolves to humans is 1 in 5, so 10 players gets a 2-wolf game, 15 a 3-wolf game etc.

*Seer

Same as VILLAGER, but during the Night can use the !see command in private chat to the bot. At the end of the Night the bot will reveal the selected player's role, unless the seer dies that night.

 

 

*Vigilante

Same as VILLAGER, but with a single-use special ability. During the Day the vigilante can eliminate any player of their choosing with the !shoot command (in the public game channel, not private message).

 

This immediately triggers the following:

 

The VIGILANTE is relegated to VILLAGER.

The selected player is removed from the game.

The role of the selected player is revealed to the channel.

The Day is ended, without a lunch. Votes for that day's lynch are discarded.

One third of players are immune to the vigilante's attack. These players are chosen randomly at the start of the game from the entire set of players so can be of any role (including the vigilante).

 

Normally the vigilante never survives the following Night as the villagers know that the vigilante can't be the wolf.

 

 

*Witch

Same as VILLAGER, but with a single-use special ability. During the Night, after the wolves have voted, the Witch will be told who has been attacked and has a short (10 second) window of opportunity in which to save the victim.

 

The bot will notify the Witch shortly before night ends, to try

 

As the ability may only be used once the Witch has a choice to use use the power immediately, or hope they are still alive later in the game to save someone at a more opportune moment (e.g. a revealed seer).

When ever I'm messing around. I will try to be logged on. My time available varies.

During the day I'm mostly on. Or on evenings/nights my gf doesn't stay over.

 

But I'll try to be on irc more when I'm online.

I would play it, but I'm going to be out at that time. 6pm CN time is 4pm my time, and I'll be in town. I should be back by 8pm CN time give/take.

A Monday at 8pm CN time would work for me.
