I can't stop laughing at the sudden uproar over the "extreme violence" in TWD. This is the 7th... yes the seventh, season. TWD has been, since the beginning, hands down, the most violent show ever produced for television. It's also the most watched TV show on the planet. They must be doing something right. Seriously... what show have these people been watching all these years? There are lists of people on my wife's Facebook that are swearing to never watch the show again. Come on man... it's the zombie apocalypse!... these characters were all created to all slowly be killed in the most horrific ways possible. Who didn't know this already?
If everyone wants to "fix" the show, AMC can always let it go and ship it off to NBC... they'll fix it. Then again they can also turn it into that utter piece of shit called "Fear the Walking Dead".

I think the violence was absolutely necessary, there is no way to portray Negan correctly without that level of violence. And OMG that actor playing Negan (forgot name and I'm on my phone,too lazy to check) was stunningly good! I was crushing on him on The Good Wife, now I hate him! That's acting!
We should feel anxious every single time we see Negan and we should know why Rick is broken. That could only happen by shocking the hell out of us.
I was pretty sure Glenn had bought it and felt relieved, but sad it was Abraham, and then they killed Glenn anyway! WTF!? And I know in the book Carl loses his arm, I was so relieved he didn't lose it on the show. Was that because it is too much CGI expense to go for years without it? Did they think Chandler Riggs would not be able to act with one hand? Did they just decide we'd been traumatized enough?

Jeffrey Dean Morgan. He's perfect for the role, but he's really just a great actor. He starred in a Starz show called "Magic City" for two seasons. I was angry when they cancelled it. If you like him... it's a must see. It streams on Netflix.
They had no problem with the CGI... they did it with Hershel's leg... I think they thought there was enough trauma already, and maybe they have plans for his arm later. Abraham was supposed to die a while ago, and they just wanted his death to have more kick than a crossbow bolt through his head.
Trump should hire Morgan to do an ad where he walks up and drills Hillary with Lucille, and says "WHOA!!!... DEAL ME IN!!"

(Spoiler alert) So in the past episode Rick negotiated the deal with the Junkyard people. In return for guns, they would help Rick and the people of Alexandra fight back against the Saviors. My question is where will they get the guns? I know that island of women is going to play a part in the uprising against Negan but idk when. The rest of this season certainly holds a lot of action. What're y'all''s thoughts on where they'll get the guns, who dies next...I love this show so this thread will be my bitch.

The Oceanside women will get involved when Tara either breaks her promise and tells Rick about them, or she contacts them herself knowing they want her dead. It may be where they get guns for the Junkyards. Nobody trusts anyone, and that's where the intrigue is. The politics, and the shear struggle to survive, are the things that keep this show from turning into an utter mess, but instead just gains momentum... and viewers. It has never worked with that awful spin-off "Fear"... that show lost me when the main character is a drug addict, and sharpest tool in the shed was insane and burned himself up. I never watched it again.

Agreed. That's the only place with an extreme surplus of weapons. But I think when Oceanside, Junkyad, Alexandria, The Kingdom, and Hilltop combine...the Saviors will fall. There will be so much blood and death, I can't wait to see who comes out on top.

Awesome show. Its the only reason I'm paying the $2.00 extra for AMC. I can't believe its been on for seven years.
On a side note, this was published by Global News last week. Thought some of you might get a little chuckle out of it.
