I hope Mattis delivers on his words, but I am unfortunately sceptical that petty politicking will not prevail.

Funny enough he not only seems to stay ouside such issues (they will seek him offcourse) but also has bipartisan support (one of the few present).

Again. People alerted the authorities, but all they did was sit with their thumbs up their ass. Governments seriously need to get their shit together on this.

Yea, this is just beyond ridiculous, one of the asshole was in a documentary, was reported more than once over a period of time by neighbours and freinds. Had his views openly stated on tv show, was kicked out of mosques, more than once etc.
What more do they want people and the communities to do?
Honestly, dont buy they dont have money to monitor people on 'the list'. They politicians can arrange the money if this was a bigger priority.
Cant blame Police, people or anyone, but just the politicians and their priorities. I suppose terror and fear here and there helps them, keep people diverted from more crucial issues that affects thousands/millions in overall scheme of things.

I am mostly looking at the void between old & new legislation aimed at combating terrorism and the lack of funds, manpower and material to actually do these things. One of the most glaring notions of that void is that wnenever certain govermental agency goes into "work-to-the-rule" strike and you suddenly have whatever they control come glaring to a halt due to it happening.
Heck, even entertaining the idea of putting everyone on "the list" (and people beyond) on an island would be just another new legislation without funds, manpower or materials to actually do.
