It's a terror attack, albeit it looks like a lone wolf. Looking forward to hearing what the guy has to say.

I wonder if the authorities had and previous knowledge of this guy, but elected to hold their dicks again instead of asking.

On an unrelated note, isn't this mosque infamous for spreading Islamist propaganda? I fear we may go into a spiral of mutual retaliations if this isn't dealt with soon. The Middle East is here, ee better learn to live with it

Sad to see.  There is no excuse for this, as you don't fight a wrongdoing by doing another.  Attacking people solely based on their faith and having zero clue about said people is inexcusable.  Hope he gets the book thrown at him.

If Mosque is spreading hate, it should be investigated but that logic has a downward spiral to it and you play right into the hands of extremists. Because I imagine the ISIS guys attacking near parliament would claim that building is infamous for getting thousands of innocents killed over centuries. See? It's a stupid and dumb logic.

It's a slippery slope. Wehm have to remember thaf at the end of the day, innocent people are injured or killed.

This is an unfortunate incident and exactly what ISIS would have hoped for, a cycle of violence.

Meanwhile, no meaningful steps taken to curb the hate anywhere in world. Gg

Nowhere did I say the fact that the mosque was an Islamist propaganda center excuses this type of behavior, it clearly doesn't. NOTHING DOES. But as you said, this can all to easily lead to a spiral of violence, which was my point.

If all involved patries (Muslim communities, governments, anti-extremism task forces, and even ordinary citizens) don't start doing their parts, we're going to end up in a really, REALLY bad situation.

Muslim communities reported all of the people involved in attakcz. Security knew people involved, they knew who the preachers were and sources of radicalization. Yet, nothing was done or done so gradually, it didn't matter. What do you want the communities to do then? Take law in their hand? Or what do they do when they know some of these guys turn out to be assets...to be used to topple regimes like that Child killer of London? They become figures like hmm.. Tony Blair then, you know he's scum, responsible for death of many more children than ISIS can hope to be, everyone knows he's a baddie, but he's still roaming out and about, so perhaps, law thinks he isn't a baddie, ah well, shit luck, nothing to be done here.

Govt responsibility starts at the misadventures of foreign policy. Corbyn has that correct, it's all a messed up of a blow back to decades of porsecution, war and occupation thrusted upon Muslim populations. You think one day a bunch of guys woke up and decided to brain wash people to a twisted ideology, no these kinds of ideologies don't spread unless there's a fertile ground for these. What are the Muslim communities to do when billions in money, arms and training are injected as part of regime toppling policies, interventions which by design fuck up the communities.

Where is the increased budget for local law enforcement? Or change in laws to deal with hate preachers? Oh wait, British govt was busy getting out hit-wicket in yet another elections, at the end, people voted to elect someone who cut the law enforcement budgets. Chickens voting for Col. Sanders. :-/

Unfortunately we are past the point where just pulling out of the ME would solve anything. The genie is already out of the bottle and it's not going back. We need to deal with the here and now, but of course it would help a lot if Western leaders weren't consistently making the worst possible FA decisions.

Agreed, as I said, gotta lock up the hate preachers and increase resources for the police, they're the true heroes.

This isn't a terror attack. This is a cunt who should be jailed for death by dangerous driving ±murder if they can prove intent. This is exactly the same view I take to other "terror" attacks by any group. This country's legal system has had laws in place to deal with murderous fucktards for years, whether they do it for creed, land, boredom, sex, anger is irrelevant to me. Calling someone a "terrorist" gives them legitimacy as it implies they have a cause; call them a [serial] murderer and you stigmatise them as they should be.

As for the link you posted ccabal86, I expect nothing to come of it as out government is too addicted to the money coming from the oil companies which operate from there.

Just my two cents.
