Oh man, oh man.  I'm feeling my years tonight.

 

I was talking with one of my coworkers this morning about X Box One games.  More specifically, the ones we liked and really enjoyed.  I recommended this one to her.

It's freaking amazing.  I've liked all of the Toy Soldiers games, but this one is cool.  Especially if you get the Heroic Edition.  I think it's going for $14.00 CDN on Amazon.

 

Anyway, she didn't really understand the concept of a tower defense game, and I had trouble explaining it as I don't speak a lot of conversational French.  So, I went to the google and showed her so pictures of the game.

 

Here's how it went:

 

Me: This game is awesome, it's easy to play.

 

Her: Okay.  <<Looks at website>>, but that's the old Assassins Creed.

 

Me: Yeah, I know. But you get to play as GI Joe, COBRA, and He-Man!"

 

Her: I never saw those series.  But my parents used to watch them.

 

Me: <<Silence and funny look>>

 

Damn, I can't believe it.  Have I really gotten this old.

My wife was training a new girl for her work and decided that we should take her out for dinner. We started talking about music and I told her that my favorite was Todd Rundgren. She didn't know who he was so I started naming off some things that he's done and she still didn't know. On our way to the restaurant we were passing by the Hard Rock Hotel, and as fate would have it, the billboard outside had a sign of an upcoming event... Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band... listed were Todd Rundgren, Steve Lukather, Joe Walsh, Nils Lofgren, Gregg Rolie, and others.

 

I pointed at the sign and said, "See? Todd Rundgren! There he is!"

She looked rather confused and said... "If this Todd dude is so great, why is he playing for some guy named Ringo?"

LOL Lysistrata.  I can relate.  Still remember when I was downtown on George St, when some young punk yelled out "Hey man, this is bullshit.  Queen is ripping off Vanilla Ice!"
