Who all has seen Christopher Nolan's new flick covering the British evacuation of Dunkirk? I quite enjoyed it myself. The sound design was absolutely incredible.

I saw it opening day. A very original production. No character development. No story. No plot. Hardly a script at all. Just Dunkirk.
I thought it was brilliant, but many would sleep through it. The only thing I didn't like was Nolan mixed up scenes of night and day, which really messed with continuity. Grade A for Nolan, and extra kudos to him for telling a story that needed to be told.

I can't tell if this sounds really interesting or really boring.

That was my point exactly. Don't bother trying to catch any names... they don't matter. The entire movie is about a beaten army that has run away from a faceless enemy as far as they could go, and the desperate and courageous actions of the British people to save their boys... so they could fight another day. Their only defense... 3 Spitfire's, and each other. One more lesson to the USA that took way too long to help. That won't ever happen again.

Aha you make a good point. Lend-lease only went so far. With that said, I'd kill to see a good movie over the Battle of Britain.

I am so with you on that. If we don't learn from history... you know the drill
