I'm having a little trouble understanding your meaning here. You do know that the US military in 1944 was heavily segregated?... all I see are white guys getting off those Higgins Boats... so what's your point? There are racists in the USA. There have always been racists in the USA. There are racists everywhere, but it's better than it used to be.
We didn't defeat Hitler because he was a racist. We didn't defeat Hitler because he killed 6 million Jews. Jewish is a religion... not a race. We didn't even know he was gassing the Jews until we found the camps. We defeated Hitler because he was taking over all of Europe, and it took a Japanese attack to make that happen.
