In all fairness, the theme is just for story purpose and in theory shouldn't have any bearing on the game. That said, with a source material as rich as Star Wars (along with the size of this game), all bets are off when it comes to potential roles.

 

As for number of scum, I'd say two teams is a fair estimate for sure. Wouldn't be surprised to see an X-shot killer as well such as a vigilante or a third party as well (not necessarily a killing group / person). Perhaps the Cantina band is a cult group looking to expand their band and take over the world with their music.

 

I loved the reference to the opening text of Star Wars movies.

Only scum know who scum are on the first day. So, you should want to present it as a lie. But you're trying to deceive the town as well by your lies. Therefore you are a jester. Setting your self up to get lynched, Or in this universe, jar jar binks.

Vgmmaster is correct. No Star Wars knowledge is required to play this mafia game. However, to be culturally literate in real life, I advise seeing all the movies. (Plus you'll understand the jokes here)

Anywhere where is the obligatory "no lynch vs lynch" argument?
With the amount of players we have in this game, what are the odds we hit scum (assuming at LEAST 4) or even a 3rd party as mentioned versus hitting an important PR like cop or doctor?
I'll try to do the math when I have time

21 players: say 5 anti town roles (SK and 4 scum, for example)

23% of hitting anti-town


6 anti town
28%

So pretty good chances

I'd think there are probably two anti town factions,a big one and a small one in a game with so many players.

Meh, skip the prequels, they sucked, and Jar Jar Is an affront to any self-respecting fan. Not too big on Ewoks, either, but since they were in the original series, I can turn a blind eye. Always remember, characters that exist primarily for merchandising purposes ruin movies.

The prequels were so bad.  the writing was awful awful awful.  Lucas then added stupid crap like midichlorians and wanted everything done on a green screen.  The the acting... omg was it bad.  "I hate sand blah blah blah"

 

At least the clone wars tv series made Anikin a little more than a whiny bitch.

If you want to watch the entire series I advise going the modified original order:

 

1) Rogue One - You learn about this scary empire and what they do, you also meet this insane badass villain

2) Episode IV - You see this villain again, start to learn some things, but you get curious about what all happened

3) Episode V - You learn more about the plot but with some interesting parental twists you may be a tad confused soooooooooooooooooo

3) (OPTIONAL) Episodes I and II - Gives light-bearing who-really-cares backstory that isn't entirely relevant to ANYTHING from the original trilogy

4) Episode III - You learn about the villain, and get some insight to what's going down

5) Episode VI - Now that you got a better picture, you're ready for the conclusion to the original trilogy (and it's much better than anything else you're in store for)

6) Episode VII - Get to meet the new faces of Star Wars and yadda yadda yadda

7) Episode VIII - And finish it all off with the most recent movie in the series

 

 

That is my recommended order of watching if you haven't seen the movies yet, it makes it a little more exciting and helps to at least piece some of the crap into a reasonable fashion
