Why was I the only VT?

 

 

Shit, wish I was a VT and not a investigative role with no actual SK, lol.  I was back and forth if there was a SK mainly because I was a last minute addition to the game, but figured maybe TW switched up his planned roles when I joined.  Thought for sure if there was a SK it had to be AbT, especially considering town vig role was easy to hide a second kill.  I honestly thought I blew the game the last night by forgetting to submit a role for second time.  I felt I was missing something yesterday though, as AbT agreed wholeheartily with the plan to get blocked if the game continued....I went through all the scenarios in my head why he'd agree with that if he was a SK, didn't make sense if he was.  Plus didn't make sense I was left alive yesterday, but everyone else couldn't be SK given their roles were pretty much verified.  Dunno, AbT just came out scummy early on with his accidental reveal (not thinking about possible Nympho), then got off my radar, then came back later on especially with his unsuccessful Vig kill.  Hate honestly just continually questioning same person.  

Glad I didn't cost town the game.  I was honestly telling the truth of how busy life has been (it's like this every year around now, but that storm didn't help), and just totally forgot to submit action.  You can ask TW, I sent a request like 2 hours later the first time I missed hoping he'd allow me since game hadn't updated yet, but good on him for sticking to the due time, and then last night, I remembered a few hours later again before he updated and just was furious at myself I asked TW for replacement if he could.  I figured I'd be the target for mislynch following the second time I forgot, and honestly wouldn't blame anyone for it.

 

And I was afraid of the possibility that you might be a scum (since Medved and KevinH were lynched due to hard proofs and bandwagonning on them didn't mean much) and your plan could be to delay your investigation till we get into LYLO phase and then come out with a faked guilty result

 

It was a great game, I'm really surprised we won.

I'm also surprised AbT and I were never killed if we were both town? That's a free 2-for-1 deal there lmao

I jailed ABT every single night but two, tho im shocked they never went after you.  must have been banking on town lynching ABT

 

I assume they were counting on me getting lynched sooner or later, especially since they put tailor on me and one day I almost got lynched due to Lachiton's investigation. The fact Brewers has changed his decision last moment has saved me.

 

Still the mystery is how did Brewers died? Was it some balancing strike, when TW realized that two roleblockers were to much to handle for the scum (assuming there were like 3-4 possible targets)?

The mafia had two unique opportunities built in at two distinct points of the game. This was another easter egg of sorts that obviously only the mafia would know about.

 

After the mafia lost their first and third team members I gave them the opportunity to use a TM (technical machine) in order to "teach" one of their members a new move (role modifier).

 

After Colonel MedVed was killed I sent the mafia the following message:

 

Mafia,

Now that you have lost your first team member, you have "found" a TM. As I'm sure most of you are aware, TM stands for Technical Machine. A Technical Machine is used to teach a Pokémon a new move. In this case, that new move will be a randomly assigned role modifier for one of you from the following list of available game modifiers:

Ascetic
Backup
Bulletproof
Enabler

As a team you guys have the option to use a TM on one of your remaining team members. All you have to do is choose which team member will use the TM and then I will randomly assign one of the above modifiers to the selected individual.

The mafia chose to use their first TM on Yehom. After the random modifier selection, Yehom gained the role modifier of Backup. This meant that he would automatically assume the role of the next mafia member to die (in addition to his Bulletproof role). Kevin was the next mafia member killed so Yehom took on Kevin's Super Saint role as a secondary role. Unfortunately for the mafia team, KitKat was killed before Yehom.

 

After KitKat died the remaining mafia member (Yehom) was given a second TM to be granted another randomly assigned role modifier. The second modifier ended up being Ascetic. This meant that Yehom was now also immune to all night actions.

 

On night 7 Yehom was tracked by Jazzy and jailed by Brewers. However, due to his new Ascetic modifier neither of these actions affected Yehom. Jazzy was returned a "Nothing Happened" result and Brewers could not jail Yehom. Yehom targeted Brewers that night for the kill and successfully killed him.

I also learned what TM stood for after all these years.

Thanks! I was interested to see what effect (if any) it would have on the game. It ended up not having much effect given the other circumstances at play though.

It'd probably make a much larger game very interesting (like one with 10 scum) .. But then again, one would end up almost god-like...

Ahh it makes sense how I died now. I was very confused at how yehom managed to kill me.
I'm glad the town still lynched yehom even tho it looked like on the outside he didn't preform the kill.

In hindsight, I think we (as scum) should have tried to kill AbT and SeaBeeGipson to get the 2-for-1 deal.

I was hoping to get into a him or me with AbT then get caught and have the Super Saint power take someone with me.
