November 23, 20187 yr comment_959669 I think I heared someone died recently, it involved a bone saw, much bark but no bite has been given to it. Does this also mean you wouldn't mind non-citizens being killed on orders of POTUS when said person displeased POTUS?Khashoggi was a legal resident, which means he was given permission to hide in the USA. He didn't hide very well, and it's not our fight. He chose to leave... he chose to walk into a Saudi consulate in Istanbul... he is subject to Saudi law when in Saudi territory. It appears to have been carried out. Once again, it's not our fight. POTUS is bound to the laws of the USA, so your accusation is meritless. Report

They be having them elephants on themselfes...Oh I'm sorry... I have to remember you're one of those European Globalist Socialists that believe a crime committed anywhere is a crime committed against the human race. If you're so concerned about Khashoggi you need to get your band together and take it to some international court... what is it? the Hague? the Helsinki? the UN? You know what I mean, one of those groups of self aggrandizing hall monitors that think they're important. Yeah... do that. I don't care about Khashoggi, I don't care about his mission, I don't care what he did, who he did it to, and I don't care about how he ended. I care about the economy, and our $3.00 a gallon gas... while Paris is rioting because their gas is $7.00! Report
November 27, 20187 yr comment_960060 Well "fun" fact, you can lodge a complaint about war crimes in Belgium itself aswell, and while the law has been devolved to primary involve actual belgian citizens, it is basically a 3rd The Hague. "self aggrandizing hall monitors that think they're important" => You speaking about US foreign policy again? >_> Yes you should care, your POTUS has issued a notice that as long as a regime pays well (usually to himself) he won't mind them killing people protected by the US Constitution. To put it in perspective, you thus wouldn't have minded your current FLOTUS getting killed in her Slovenian embassy in her first year of marriage to Trump. Aaaaah yes, "the economy", I heared that it is going wonderfull in the US, lets ignore that levying "interest rates" on raw materials is a smart idea or that nearly all your soybean crop is rotting. Ow and you heared about Paris? Thought you did't care about stuff outside the USA, should I be impressed? Report

Which means the details are public. All it means that everything gets released a day later instead of the day of. ie, they gave him a public session for all practical purposes but is refusing to allow it to be explicitly public in order to not look like they folded like a house of cards. Because, again, this is political grandstanding on part of the GOP. Report
December 3, 20187 yr comment_960682 All it means that everything gets released a day later instead of the day of. Wrong. Comey wanted it public so he would only face 5 minutes of questions from alternating Congressmen, drag out his answers, and not answer most of them by saying "I can't talk about Classified information in a public setting". In a closed setting he's gonna get hammered by experienced prosecutors about everything he's lied about for the past 3 years, he has nowhere to hide, and no one to cover his ass or save him. It's never been an issue about transcripts, leaks, or public hearings... it's all been about procedure. His tantrum in court to quash the subpoena was never going to work, and he knew it. He can't refuse a Congressional subpoena, and he can't dictate how it's done. He can only show up and answer questions, or show up and take the 5th. After tomorrow, expect Congress to send a recommendation to the DOJ for criminal charges against James Comey. Report

And to be fair, not many of Meuller's current and possible future targets can be found to be lying to Congress, seeing as no Reps actually subpoenad them to come and speak. Got a feeling that will change come januari. How many of core transition staff for Trump have pleaded guilty thusfar?Things must get twisted between here and Belgium. What Congress has been doing and what Mueller is doing are two different things. Everything in the House will definitely change come January. Democrats take control of the House of Representatives and the focus will change from corruption of the Obama Administration to Donald Trump's tax returns, his business, and his family... nothing will have anything to do with getting to the truth... their intention will only be to damage Trump any way they can. You seem to believe that pleading guilty to unrelated criminal activity from many years ago, as in the Manafort case, or testimony given being twisted into deception to the FBI, as in the Flynn case, or saying what they want you to say in order to avoid maximum criminal prosecution for a shady taxi business, as in the Cohen case... this somehow makes Trump guilty of collusion with Russia? It does not. I have seen nothing... nada... zip... zero evidence. House Republicans are finishing their work before January... that is all. The real story will be told when the internal investigation from the Inspector General is completed. If he doesn't deal with it, then Trump will declassify everything and the press will have to do the heavy lifting. The end result will be the same. The truth will come out. That's all I want. Report

William Barr has been nominated for Attorney General, and I suspect the only course of action will be a second Special Council to begin a train of indictments against the conspiracy to frame Trump. As soon as these scumbags face some hard time, they'll start throwing each other under the bus. It will be a contest... who can flip the hardest in an attempt to earn a Presidential pardon? Do you recall who drafted the FBI's initiationdocument for that late July 2016 Russia investigation?Mr. Comey. I do not.Mr. Gowdy. Would you disagree that it was Peter Strzok?Mr. Comey. I don't know one way or the other.Mr. Gowdy. Do you know who approved that draft of aninitial plan for the Russia investigation in late July 2016?Mr. Comey. I don't.Mr. Gowdy. Would you disagree that it was Peter Strzok?Mr. Comey. That Peter Strzok approved? I don't know oneway or the other.Mr. Gowdy. Drafted and approved it.Mr. Comey. I don't know one way or the other.Mr. Gowdy. Have you read that initiation document?Mr. Comey. I don't think so. I don't remember ever seeingit.Mr. Comey. Do you recall seeing the phrase "Trumpcampaign" in that initiation document?Mr. Comey. Well, I don't remember seeing it, ever seeingit, so certainly don't remember any portion of it, because I don'tremember ever seeing it.Mr. Gowdy. If it said Trump campaign, do you still havethe same answer you had when I asked you whether or not it involvedthe Trump campaign?Mr. Comey. That's a question, Mr. Gowdy, I can't answerwithout having seen the document. So I'd be speculating abouta document I don't think I've ever seen.Mr. Gowdy. Well, I want to be fair to you and make sureI understand your testimony. You have not, did not read the FBIinitiation document that launched the Russia investigation, oryou read it and do not recall what it said?Mr. Comey. I don't remember ever seeing it. Opening an investigation such as that is not something that FBI requires the director to sign off on. Infact it should be trivially obvious why that's the case; counterintelligence investigations are routine for the FBI and requiring the director to sign off on everyone would be an enormous waste of time and allow a single individual to quash an investigation. Jame Comey having read that document is no more likely than Sundar Pichai to have read the initiation document for a study of new blades for one of google's data centers. Also, lol, that is such a transparent attempt at the most pathetic perjury trap. If the committee gave a shit, they'd ask the FBI to cough up a copy of the document out of the archive, or even just confirm that author. There's zero reason to even ask such a question other than hoping he answers incorrectly and then go ZOMG COMEY LIED TO CONGRESS! There is of course things like Mr. Gowdy. Some of our friends in the media use the word"collusion" from time to time. What is the crime of collusion? Mr. Comey. What is the crime of collusion? I do not know.I've never heard the term "collusion" used in the way it's beenused in our world over the last couple years before that. I don'tknow of a crime that involves collusion. I think in terms ofconspiracy or aiding and abetting. Which is an entirely reasonable answer since the question is about a investigation into illegal activities and "collusion" has no legal definition, something which Trey Gowdy agrees with like 5 lines later. Lots of other things that Committee expects him to know includes details of conversation between people who are not him that happened while he was not present. Also random highly specific facts about investigations that he had minimal role in, interviews he was not present at, or just basic information that the committee could trivally obtain from congressional records. Mr. Ratcliffe.Do you have -- as you review that, do you independently havea recollection about Hillary Clinton's July 2nd interview whereagents asked her questions about those classification markings, whether it appeared on one document or multiple documents?Mr. Comey. I don't.Mr. Ratcliffe. You don't have any recollection?Mr. Comey. No, I don't have an independent recollection, sitting here, of what they asked her about that. I have somerecollection that the topic came up, but I don't remember whatwas asked or said about that. Not to metion: "do you know if other people knew things". Ms. Jackson Lee. When you met with the President at theWhite House on January 27th, 2017, the meeting during which heasked you to let Flynn go, did the President know at the timethat the FBI was investigating Russia's interference in the 2016elections?Mr. Comey. The meeting you're referring to was Valentine'sDay, February 14th of 2017, not the 27th. And I don't know -- And of course other things include entirely subjective statements Mr. Comey. I don't know whether Peter Strzok wasconsidered the top. He was very highly regarded as acounterintelligence professional, and I saw that borne out inthe nature and quality of his work with me. But whether he'sthe top or not, I don't know, but certainly among the best. Because obviously Comey isn't going to "Yes I know for a fact this person was literally the best person at the job in the whole world". I stand by my statement re: political grandstanding. This was such a transparent fishing expedition. Report
December 10, 20187 yr comment_961849 And this is why you don't take trump tweets as news. I don't... I was taking the news as news. I stand by my statement re: political grandstanding. Grandstanding happens in a public hearing, and this was not a public hearing. If the Trump campaign colluded with Russia to effect the outcome of the 2016 election, I believe we need to know the truth. If the Obama Administration created an insurance policy to make trouble for Trump in the event he was elected, I believe we need to know the truth. At this point, I think the next course of action will be a second Special Council appointed to comb through the Hillary email case, and the Trump counter-intelligence investigation... and start handing out indictments like Christmas presents all around. That's why Democrats are so damn afraid of a new Attorney General. Report
