My best guess is that a townie PR saved the right person. Either that or maybe scum have modifiers themselves or we’re looking at it wrong and scum aready used their PR to kill an extra person the first night

 

 

Didn't we have 3 kills N1?  I wonder why suddenly we have a single kill.  If we have a doctor, he very well might of guessed right to prevent one, but either we have a SK and he didn't decide to kill last night to take us all of scent of a SK, or two kills were prevented somehow, or N1 we had a scum faction that had 2 kills.

So going off the flavor, I seem to be partially right about who likely the 2 scum teams are.

Bolton's were apart of this book, so maybe Bolton is a SK

I'm thinking you might be correct about the possible scum teams. I originally thought that one scum team would be composed of Westerosi characters and possible a second team from Essos but I'm re-thinking that now.

 

Here is what we know so far:

 

• iSocialism's character is/was Rakharo. Rakharo was the Dothraki bodyguard of Daenerys Targaryen. This is a character that was originally from Essos and he ended up being town. This is making me re-think my original thought about an Essos scum faction. Associated with the Dothraki.
• Lachiton's character was Sandor Clegane. he was originally associated with the Lannister's I believe before becoming a fugitive and traveling with Arya Stark. He ended up being a town character. Associated with the Lannisters and now Starks.
• Rafay's character was Lord Varys. I believe that Varys was still in King's Landing at this point and is therefore associated with the Lannisters. He was a town character.
• Velocity's character was Davos Seaworth. Firmly associated with Stannis Baratheon at this point. He is the first character that we've seen who wasn't associated with the Lannisters or Daenerys Targaryen and he ended up being scum. Important to note again about this is that Velocity (Davos) was a scum COP. A scum cop would only be useful if there was a second anti-town faction.

A possible second scum faction could be the Greyjoy's or Bolton's. We have evidence of the Greyjoy's showing up in the flavor texts but no evidence of the Bolton's yet, unless I missed it.

 

The other possibility for another scum faction would be the White Walkers. The only real reason I have to believe that at this point though was the fact that iSoc was resurrected (although we don't really know his alignment and he could very well still be town). I am more inclined to believe that the white walkers are not yet present in this game though since they still haven't really crossed paths with any of the main Houses yet in the lore.

 

My conclusion is that Rhizo is likely correct about the scum factions being the Baratheon army and maybe the Greyjoy's with a possible SK in the Bolton family. Further character deaths should hopefully continue to solidify this.

 

The one thing I disagree with from Rhizo's post above is that the scum might have safe claims. Usually I would agree with you about this possibility being present, however in this game I don't think they will. 18 players is a very large game and scum hunting will be hard enough as it is. I'm actually betting that character names are really important in this game. If/when people start role-claiming for whatever reason, please include your character names.

I thought Brewsky, aka GRRM, has said our names and flavor with regard to the GoT universe do not necessarily mean anything. I’m not sure looking at it thru this lens is helpful. There are people who do not watch or read the material and even though he was a bastard mod for playing a joker, I trust him to not screw over the non-GOT fans. He has publicly assured players this will not be an issue.

I actually know these names, only cos I'm going through season 2, so If there are 2 factions, then are we sure there is only 2 members in each, especially as TW said the amount of players in the game, we got to assume one faction missed last night, which probably means they can only use 1 power at a time.

There are people who do not watch or read the material and even though he was a bastard mod for playing a joker, I trust him to not screw over the non-GOT fans. He has publicly assured players this will not be an issue.

Non-GoT fans can still be successful playing the game without knowing GoT lore. They would just need to use common sense and have a basic understanding about game balance and which roles are usually town or traditionally anti-town just like any other game. However, I think that knowing some of the lore will only help further. I think that writing off character names in the game would be a mistake.

 

And for reference: The scum faction in the last game were all Lannister characters if you recall. If the lore didn't mean anything and all characters were randomly assigned a faction, the chances that 3 Lannister's would end up scum are pretty low.

2 mafia factions dose make sense. Could be a failed kill, or prevented in some way. Or at 2kills targeted seabee last night. 

 

However, while there are multiple explanations for why there was only one death, I'm still concerned on Isoc. We have a zombie roaming about, and I can count on one hand why a zombie would be a good guy..... Making me very nervous.

My theory, last GoT game a suggested that two scum factions wouldn't be crazy since its a GoT theme game. With that I believe the same for this game. As well as a SK.

As for me, I think one scum team wanted to take out another scum member, and thought I was resurrected as scum

I was resurrected, IDK how but it sounds like mod flavor. On top of that my role went from paranoid to one shot BP. I think scum went after me. Which was the only good left of my role.

My gut feeling is telling me that someone who wants me lynched for a second time. Is someone who isn't looking for scum but need the distraction of looking like they're looking for scum. So much has been spent on me, and how this game is working in the background, but little on scum hunting. Yes, I know I'm not either, but it's a general call out.

As I stated on day two I thought he was a Jester.

I have a theory. There’s a bandwagon on MK. I don’t think he’s scum, but I suspect there may be a jester. I suspect this because it is the kind of thing that Brewsky would be itching to make use of, and because he got touchy when I jokingly asked someone in the game message thread if they were trying to get mod killed. On top of that, MK’ is acting like he wants to get lynched. Thoughts?

I didn't put any stock into it personally because I was hoping that Brewers wouldn't include something like that in the game, let alone give that role to a person who always looks scummy..

 

I get that you didn't think MK was necessarily scum. Why not vote for someone else though? Do you have any suspicions?

Congrats to Lord MK, who played a perfect game to get himself lynched.

 

I also congratulate Sister Midnight for her keen insight, and give her townie points for that.

 

While the rest of the non-voters weren't "defending their own" I think that the townie thing to do would have been to vote for Lord MK.

 

Scum would not have known that Lord MK was a Jester and would have wanted to avoid being in on a townie lynch.

 

I will also give Yehom a bit of a pass for being new to the game and possibly not seeing the evidence against Lord MK.

I'm picking the same vibe. MK played it as scummy as possible, yet two people believed in his innocence from the start. Like i said before, it was way too easy to think that MK was a Jester over scum, so SM's statements before and after his lynch don't sit well with me. The same can be said about that WP said about believing MK wasn't scum, while it was very clear what he was trying to pull

I get FOS for not voting the jester, lol. I felt the wagon had less to do with scum hunting and more MK attitude and people's wants. It was more a policy Lynch. I have other concerns and still have those concerns. Everyone wanted to be so involved on mk and now it can be considered an entire misstep of the game. We've only gotten lucky with one scum Dying at night. But other than that that, we are basically at square one.
