So disappointed with the way they chose to end it. It was ooc, unfulfilling and it was clear the show-runners want to be done with it anyhow and move on to their star wars project.

The differance between IRON and some rag tag alliance is the fact that we will fight with no reguard to our own nations. Putting the greater good of the whole before ourselves. Victory for all or they will have to fight us to the last point of infa in the last IRON nation. Every so often someone(s) will come around and exemplifie this. Living up to the IRON Values. You're correct. I totally avoided Blade's thread for hours, because I don't watch it until my wife gets home from work.
The final season, like everyone else has already said, was too rushed. They had another two seasons worth of great opportunity to create amazing story... they chose to just end it. Lackluster story, enshrined within a tomb of CGI and an overpaid cast. They gave up on impressing us with intelligence, and thought that just throwing money at the production would satisfy us. They failed miserably... but Game of Thrones will still be the show that set the excellence bar for television. As my eldest daughter always says... "It is what it is".

Did you base your prediction on the episode before the finale, or did you figure it out before the season even began? Just curious.
Some of both. I made several predictions either before the season or very early on in the season. Others were based off of the end of episode 5.

I think the way it ended was fitting. Season 8 seemed really rushed. If there were some more episodes it may have had a better flow to it. Only thing that didn't make sense is why there is still a night watch. The Night King is dead. There is no threat on the other side of the wall.
