Conflicted is a game which consists of multiple decks, each deck containing 52 cards, and on each card is a question. The setting is in an environment where some catastrophic event has occurred. Could be nuclear war, World War III, horrible disease, economic collapse, but regardless of the scenario, no form of government really exists or if it does it is unable to help you. No calling 911, no cell phones, no internet. Its just yourself, maybe friends and family, and possibly a small group of people who can help you. Not necessarily Mad Max/Post Apocalyptic, but cohesive civilization with modern technology at our fingertips is essentially over.

Every week I will post one of the cards (selected at random), and each participant writes a response to what they would do in that situation or how they might handle it. I will let the thread run for one week, and then post a new question. Post as much as you like after giving your response. Debating and analyzing is part of the game! I won't be playing as I am the one running the game.

There are no right or wrong answers as the game is about hearing how people could navigate a stressful or perilous situation.

How do you tell others about the need to prepare without making yourself a target for unwanted visitors in the future?

Point out the antics around the start of the pandemic and taht it is only sensible to hold a few weeks food in case of similar antics in the future.

Situationally, you want to identify how you can prepare for something within different areas. Anytime you're seen hoarding items, buying new things, etc then you're setting yourself up to be a target. If you do it over a length of time and in different ways then you make yourself less of a target. You point out what's incoming, what the necessities are, give guidance to be prepared but not go overboard and always prepare for the worst case scenario. If something does happen and you become a target, you have a fallback station to refer to.

In theory; live your life as the undercover rich person; have your supplies in the most inaccessible location that only you would know how to get to this location. So in the event that it would be useless to dispose of you because you know where and how to access the items. Be that greedy SOB. Dress like the dirties and grimiest looking person. So they think that you have nothing.
