Although, thinking about this again.

 

A mislynch on Day 1 and double kill on night 1 would be game over right?

 

So maybe it is better to no lynch on day 1?

It wouldn't be game over and the kills would have to succeed. If they did, as town still has even votes and ties are broken at random, we have a chance there as well as with towns own vig abilities if they haven't been used.

 

 

So you think its more likely that mafia holds on to both vig shots on night 1, wait until after a mislynch on day 2, assuming its no lynch on day 1. That makes it 2v2 with not much info for town to go on. But it would mean from there on out, only town has the ability to night kill.

Question for Kevin:
 
Is there a deadline for night actions or will it become day once everyone submits an action? If the latter, how will it be handled if we all run out of night actions?

 
I'll set a deadline of two real-life days and if it's missed, then the actions would be saved for future nights.  I won't say when everyone runs out of night actions.  Note that night actions can be sent in early if you anticipate possibly being gone.
 

Question for Kevin:
Clarifying question on the Commute- 
a player can commute once per game or multiple times?

Everybody, townie and mafia alike, has one commute and one vigilante-kill for the whole game.
Starting game day two, a lynch must occur.  If there's a tie, I'll post a random selection link, probably from https://defuse.ca/trustedthirdparty.htm

to show that it's fair.

Can we say for sure that mafia even know who their partners are? With no factional kill, you could make a case for them being blind to each other (no night talk) which would make this a very interesting game. Russian roulette almost lol

Yes, we have to assume that scum will have night talk. But its not outside the realm of possibility that they don't. This setup treats everyone as equals, each person, town or scum, has a one-shot commute and a one-shot vig.

I could see it being over in one (1) night as well, especially if Townies are using their vigs. But I think it will go longer than expected with most people standing pat on night 1.

Thats typically how mafia goes on day 1, unless scum makes an obvious slip up, which we have seen happen (ferastical: "our" night kill: for example), but most of the time day 1 is a debate between no lynch and lynch the most inactive person.

Looks like it's a no lynch for day one. Outside of a fluff post early, would like to note that isocialism's only other post is a vote with no other information, so definitely suspicious of them for day 2.
