How dos the cop   role give  out  information they received without the Mafia  tar-getting them? Wouldn't the cop store the information, hoping to build up the list and skip the lynch until they have gathered enough names? I think after the cop comes out the 1st time, it'd be a huge red target on their back.

 

This isn't really relevant to any of the discussions, just curious as I've thought about this and my only other idea is a protection role protecting the cop for another night, but that would require the protection role actually helping and who knows how long that'll last?

So you let scum know you have a power, but give 0 useful info to the town? If you have an investigation role of any sort that would be a very noob mistake for a player as experienced as yourself. It strikes me as very strange, and I'm kind of amazed it hasn't drawn more attention. If you really are town, there's a damn good chance you'll be the scum's next target now. Might as well tell us everything you can. Yet you've been quiet on it since and ignored followed-up questions (unless I missed some posts somewhere).

If you actually read the posts since day 2, Mandarijn and Rafay(and perhaps some other) has dropped hint that they too have a power

Second, I might as well be a vanilla/weak role that did that to throw off scum to target me instead of the cop. The possibility is endless

The possibilities are far from endless.

1. You're either a townie with a role just trying to help.

2. You're a townie with no role, trying to protect those who have roles.

3. You're scum, making a rather safe gambit that has resulted in at least Madarjin following suit and indicating he has a power role.

Pretty sure that's it.

1. Probably not true, because your soft claim would give more info to scum than town, and you are experienced enough to know better than that. Plus you suggested possibility #2, making this one a little less likely. Unless you actually are #1 but have realized it was in fact a mistake, but again your experience makes me doubt that path.

2. I don't believe anyone had indicted having an important role before you. The Mafia had no leads. Now thanks to Mandarjin following your lead, and you backpedaling suggesting you fake the claim to protect power role townies, the Mafia has a lead on who to target. If you really are a vanilla town and protection was your intent, it seems to have failed horribly. Which is kind of surprising coming from someone as experienced and intelligent as yourself, Lyner. Making me doubtful that possibility #2 is true.

3. ^ See above. Mafia had no leads, now they do. If that was his real intent he shouldn't have backpedaled. The backpedal itself is also scummy looking to me. Now all the sudden you care about your life, Lyner? What happened to protecting the town power roles? Considering all this, and through the process of elimination of other possibilities. Possibility #3 seems by far the most likely to me.

Your first paragraph is correct.

 

The doctor needs to know who is cop first

Also another problem is sometimes scum has a "block immune" kills that goes through protection

 

Also advises if there is a doc: try to guess who's the most probable scum target. In early days scums will mostly target the most active players or experienced players, while later in the game they will outguess the doctor and try to target the important roles. They will never target inactives

Shah's last posts if anything made him look more scummy.

 

Canik's posts and accusations are much better and at least based on some info that can derived from posts made in this game. However, a new player does not mean that a players role has changed. Its probable that Canik is playing a lot better as scum than Shah was. He just has to do a lot of back-pedalling (from shah's posts) which he is already doing and damage control to climb out of the hole that Shah had dug for him. That is if I am correct in my assumption that Shah is scum.

 

So even though Canik's posts make sense, I am not gonna follow any lead he is throwing out until I am convinced otherwise that shah was not scum. But his attempts at scum-hunting are commendable so I will see if he can actually contribute in the later days to the town.

When you claimed your supposed power, the default setting to that is what you're saying is truth. Now you say it might not be. That is definitely a change in stance, if not technically a full backpedal.

The bit about caring about your life, is because you suggest what you did may have been sacrificing your life to defend a more important town role. By suggesting this is what you did, you basically abandon that strategy to defend yourself. Now scum is much more likely to target Mandarjin who very probably has a real power. Unless you BOTH were faking.

Yes, strike for the weak side, ignore the main argument

 

Tell us what concrete benefit could scum possibly get from my "I got nothing from last night, sort of" besides cuing that I have some sort of power role.

 

I'm not suggesting I faked claim, I told you one of the possibilities. If you're truly townie you should keep this in mind for yourself instead of trying to reveal my role and risk tonight's targetting. If I claimed some power roles, more power roles will target me tonight and scum will have easier time picking a low profile target.

 

Good thing that you pointed out scum is likely to target Mandarijn, Now they're less likely to target him, no? Now we go back to square one except the town power roles have something to consider instead of blind targetting tonight

1. I always defend a replacement. No 2 players play the same, and Canik may not have wanted to run with how Shah started out.
2. Shah was replaced right after his "debacle" As such, since we do have a new player, while his particular commentary lends suspicion to me that he is scum, with a new player and potential new style, how am I supposed to say with certainty that Shah/Canik is scum? With new information, I still have suspicions, but not enough to run with a vote.
3. The accusations against you are substantial, and you really haven't, IMO, supported your commentary more than to try and deflect attention.

So, while I could still flip back to Imran as my vote, as I'm still very convinced he's scum as well, your commentary leads ME to believe you're scum and worthy of a lynching.

Convince me otherwise, and I'll change my vote back to Imran.
