This was a great game guys! We got lucky a few times, namely with d3mon's controversial situation on day 1 and AKC's unfortunate roleclaim/unfortunate inheritance of role (namely Narsis') I honestly thought we were going to win a day sooner, but EM really did go inactive which we did not expect.

AKC, why would I try to duplicate your actions when you've been acting suspicious for a while now? To incriminate myself? No, I genuinely believed that CD was scum, but I was proven wrong. Anyway, the concensus seems to be to go for AKC and then figure out how to go from there on the next day. I'm going to do what CD did yesterday: I'm voting with TC, a known townie. Vote:AKCPLUTO VOTE COUNT: AKCPLUTO (2): TerrorChrist, ccabal86 Not Voting (3): AKCPLUTO, Preston, reign of terror With 5 alive, 3 is needed to lynch.

Ok, here's my list: From most likely to be be scum to least likely. 1, AKC - Bad roleclaim. As we can see, Even "Vanilla Townie" was given a flavor specific name, a.k.a "Costumer". Same with "Ex-lifeguard". In this light, AKC's role of "Cowardly Lifeguard", taken DIRECTLY from last game doesn't sound too credible. 2/3, RoT/Preston - Not sure what to think about them, I'm really unsure who the 3rd scum could be. Preston however is giving good analysis that can help save us at this point, while RoT seems to be lurking more and more. So if I'd have to decide then I'd give nr. 2 to RoT and nr. 3 to Preston 4, TC - Basically our only confirmed townie.

CD is town? Well, I admit, I was wrong, good thing thing I didn't get my may after all. I was protecting TC for the night, unfortunately scum didn't go for him. In my roleclaim, I deliberately left out the part where it states that I cannot lock myself in the bathroom, but I guess the uncertainty was enough to prevent them from killing me....or maybe it's the fact that they want to paint me even more guilty by the killing, after all I led the charge last day... Anyway, we may have caught a scum, but don't forget, it's still LYLO, don't make your decisions lightly.

That's quite a stretch, even for you. If there is 1 vanilla townie, it doesn't mean there is two.

Mod: Mole, did you prod EM? Apologies, I must've missed that. I have now. -M

TMCWPTI #2 - Game Thread
As I said, I was saving it for a possible LYLO. If you think about it, this is the perfect role for such an occasion, because: a, You may protect a townie from a nightkill b, You may "detain" a mafia, who may be tasked with the night kill. Either way, no nightkill will happen, and you have twice the chance of succeeding.

The supermarket's only unisex bathroom is my territory - I have the bathroom key and gloatingly lord over those who need it. The door is also very strong... This is a 1-shot ability which may be used during the night. I may choose a player who I wish to lock in the bathroom. Any moves during the night done by the player, or targetting that player will not be successful. [One last detail goes here that I don't want to reveal].

Stop pretending like you don't understand. You should use a protective role on a townie. You should use a roleblocker on a mafia. Whatever you pick, the other "role" will be applied as well. eg, you will also "protect" a mafia and you will also "roleblock" a townie. My suspects: CD: See before. EM: He managed to stay under the radar this whole game. Voted for 2 townies who were consequently lynched ??: Not quite sure about the third person, I don't really have a strong opinion on the rest. Preston was a little too easily convinced by CD's arguments. AKC and CD have been gunning for eachother for quite a while now, so it's not TOO likely they're on the same team. RoT seems to lay low recently.

Yes, but whatever you're doing, it's worse than a plain bodyguard or roleblocker as the other effect is applied too. While it is multi-pupouse, it has a high chance of backfiring.

Dude, it's block AND protect at the same time and on the same person. It may protect someone, but will also block any abilities that person may be using. It may block someone from using an ability, but will also protect that person for the night, even from "movement" the security guard may otherwise detect. There is a downside if you use it on Mafia and a downside if you use it on Townies. Why the hell do you think I waited this long to use it?
-
TMCWPTI #2 - Game Thread
There are actually serious downsides to this role when you think about it. While it may sound great at first hearing, it also blocks townie roles, furthermore it blocks the ability of the person you want to protect. If used at the wrong time, it can waste an ability altogether. It could have wasted the Security Guard and it could have Wasted the Dedicated Employee. Besides, we don't know how powerful mafia roles are. Hell, if I was mafia I could have picked the easy way out and said "Vanilla Townie" - like you did. As for never seeing a restroom attendant in a supermarket - you're right, it's usually some sort of generic janitor that does the cleaning (bathroom included), but "Janitor" is a mafia role, so mole couldn't have used that for a townie. Besides, Given the not-so-serious setup of the game (I mean, why the hell would a real mafia choose to invade a damn supermarket), I don't think mole ran a detailed business plan to see wether employing a "restroom attendant" was financially worth it. It's LYLO, now is the time to be vocal. But I always voiced my concerns, it's not like I was lurking or anything. And yes, I did vote for d3mon, like almost everyone else, but you were one of the people leading the charge.

I was inclined to lynch you yesterday, lucky for you CaoCao went inactive and we lynched him instead. But what really sealed the deal for me today was the immediate rejection of my based only on "supermarkets don't have restrooms", even though the role PM clearly states it's small and unisex. And the whole propagation of "Look at me, I' voting with a known townie" was just icing on the cake. TC is a known townie, even though he hasn't explained why he voted for EM (though some info on that would be useful), and you somehow managed to persuade Preston (though for all we know he may be your scum buddy). But here's the kick: You were in a tough spot, with a high chance of being lynched today. Also, EM may be inactive for a long time, he might not even make it back before the game ends, but certainly not before the end of the day. Which would mean that with you being lynched today, only 1 active mafia member will remain, and if we happen to lynch him tomorrow, the town wins. But even if EM returns later, he will have missed your lynch and will have failed to reap the "townie points" you speak of. So instead you took a risk, and will try to sacrifice your inactive mate, by jumping on a known townie's bandwagon, but in the end you'll have 2 active mafia instead of 1 active and 1 inactive.

TMCWPTI #2 - Game Thread
And before you ask WHY I'm not removing my vote from you now is because I'm 100% sure you're mafia. As for EM, I'm only 75% sure. 100% > 75% so there you have it. I'm still hoping people will see reason and realize we have no reason at all to trust you.
-
TMCWPTI #2 - Game Thread
You want me to place the hammer vote, eh? Allright I'll play along for now. If EM doesn't post in 48 hours, I'm sealing the deal. For the record, I still think you're scum.
-
TMCWPTI #2 - Game Thread
Correct me if I'm wrong, but what I did is not paraphrasing. Paraphrasing means you take the WHOLE PM and re-word the scentances, which is not what I did. What I think is this: You and EM are scum, not sure who the third one is. You saw the only confirmed townie voting for EM, and you saw the opportunity to piggyback on his vote. By killing EM, you hope to remove the the considerable amount of suspicion from yourself.
-
TMCWPTI #2 - Game Thread
Oh, and I wonder why you "forgot" to ask me to paraphrase my PM, (which I didn't). In other cases, you always ask people to paraphrase, what's different now?

TMCWPTI #2 - Game Thread
I guess you're missing the fact I was against you yesterday, where you (again) voted to lynch a townie. As I said, EM may be mafia, but now I'm 100% certain that you are.

TMCWPTI #2 - Game Thread
EM seems to be inactive lately, we really shouldn't lynch him before he roleclaims. I'm having a feeling that mafia may try to go for an inactive and secure their victory, and this reinforces my suspicion of CD (along with the bad voting history and his "vanilla townieness" -> easiest way for mafia to avoid a roleclaim) to the point where I'm going to place a vote on him again, just to be safe... Vote: CanucksDynasty Of course it is possible that EM really is mafia and CD is placing a distancing vote on him to get out of the limelight. If we lynch CD today and he turns out to be scum (at this point I find that very, very likely), we should consider that scenario as well.

TMCWPTI #2 - Game Thread
Actually it's not. The role PM says it's a small unisex bathroom with a strong door...
