Me voting for you is no different than you voting for CaoCao. The problem is, we have to vote SOMEONE from our trio. If I had to choose between the two of you, I'd choose you, for reasons already stated.

FOS: Narsis / AKCPLUTO. If Narsis hadn't gone inactive I'd be voting for him right now As for now: Vote: CanucksDynasty. TBH, I'm only voting for him, because old players are too often given the benefit of doubt and they tend to get away with things newbies wouldn't. CD may be using that to his advantage to cover his bolder approach.

May I ask why the FOS?

I may have registered in 2009, but this is only my 5th game actually. It took me a while to become aware of mafia. Yes, editing that post wasn't the best idea ever, but as I recall, it was very late and I was quite tired - never realized my mistake untill after it happened. But as mole stated, the game hasn't started yet at that time, and as such game rules didn't apply. As for the quotes, I don't see how they can seem manipulative. In the first one, I merely stated the fact that a quick lynch is not in the town's interest wich I don't think anyone can disagree with. I truly believed there was a risk scum may take advantage of the initial bandwagoning on Kevin and end the day with a quick lynch stripping us from the discussion. Town needs all the discussion time it can get, otherswise, we it can't win. In the second quote I'm arguing for a Day 1 lynch - nothing more, nothing less. Last time I was supporting Day 1 no-lynch, which did happen in the end, and I believe it turned out to be bad strategy. My role turned out to be borderline useless and it's a small miracle we actually lynched a scum based on CD's report, as several others were moving as well.

TBH, if he didn't go inactive, I'd prefer voting for Narsis instead, unless he could come up with a VERY good explanation to support his D1 theory. But since he got replaced I believe we should give AKC a chance. So, this means I'll end up voting for either CD or Cao Cao.

No idea. Maybe the mafia started with some initial info/hints? To answer that properly, you'd have to be mafia, and they're not going to tell you, lol

On the other hand, I find Narsis' behavior more and more suspicious. He was one of the first to accuse d3mon of being scum, and furthermore he - in total seriousness - claims he that d3mon, KevinH and myself are scum, and all this on Day 1. And when we demand an explanation of this almost surreal claim, he suddenly becomes less active - blaming it on headaches - then vanishes completely. I really don't know what to make of this. Perhaps, he was trying to capitalize on KevinH's backfired Apr 1st joke, hoping to score a quick lynch? I don't know, but it's not normal play, that's for sure.

Well, I guess lynching one of those who voted for d3mon is the logical thing to do, after all, it resulted in the death of probably the best townie role. So I guess that leaves me, CD and CaoCao as the prime targets, as TC came out of the closet - so to speak. In all fairness though, we must state that d3mon did an very poor job of convincing us he was townie. First, he starts making some very specific accusations (TC being THE janitor), then when we question him, he claims an important role. Furthermore, first he refuses to say what it is, then he refuses to paraphrase the role PM. Of course, none of this PROVES his scummyness, but, come on, we all know how paranoid mafia games are. When the shadow of suspicion is cast on someone, it can easily become a downward spiral from there, especially if the person's acts seem to reinforce the suspicion. In MY defense though, let me just make 2 points real quick: 1, I did not "bandwagon" onto d3mon, in fact, it was the very first vote on him. My vote was the same vote I placed on him jokingly, but as he acted more and more suspicious (at least from my point of view), i became more and more convinced that my vote was well placed. 2, I DID bring up an alternative to lynching him, which was ignored. Granted I should have emphasized this MUCH more, it just kinda got lost. Truth be told, I wasn't sure if it would work myself, but it was still out there somebody could have picked it up: It could have been a workable solution. He could have investigated on Night 1, posted his results, then we'd have lynched him. The lynch would have proved his townieness and we could have safely used his results.

Damn, that's a real pity. I would have REALLY loved to hear Narsis' day 1 mafia theory. Especially since 2 of the 3 suspects turned out to be townies...

Mole: What's the status of our two main inactives, Narsis and Herodez? Were they prodded? Will they be replaced?

TMCWPTI #2 - Game Thread
FOS = Finger of Suspicion: you let everybody know which people you SUSPECT as being mafia. Yes, but us townies do not. So let's say now we can be ALMOST SURE that you and KevinH are townies, and you will not be voted upon as possible lychees. If mafia eliminates you, we have one less person we know is on "our side". Allright then, who to vote for? We have to be very careful with who we pick this time, cause if we miss...it's LYLO.

Ah, finally some good news! Nerau might have seen his killer and/or might have recieved some sort of information during the night. Nerau, do you have any information regarding your killer or anything that should be public knowledge? Also, what do you think of our present situation? This also semi-proves that TC is a townie, unless mole actually went ahead and introduced a "remorseful thug"-type role that we were so worried about last game.

TMCWPTI #2 - Game Thread
Dammit, we're off to a really bad start here. We lost 2 power roles in a very short period of time In retrospect I'm still quite baffled over the whole d3mon issue. If you have a vital role that you really should use up ASAP, then why would you start pointing fingers and paint yourself a potential target in the first place? You'll have plenty of time to discuss what you find on day 2 when you've used up your ability.
-
TMCWPTI #2 - Game Thread
But how do we prove him townie? Give him a chance to use his ability, post whatever he finds then lynch him on day 2?
-
TMCWPTI #2 - Game Thread
I see your point, but if that's the case, I don't think the real cop should out himself, it's basically a death sentence. Sure we WOULD catch a scum, but we would likely lose our "real" cop with no guarantee of having a doctor. This is all assuming d3mon is false roleclaiming. Agh, such a bad situation. Srsly, if you have an important role like this, you shouldn't attract attention to yourself on day 1 like d3mon has. You should try to survive at least 1 night to give your ability a chance.

TMCWPTI #2 - Game Thread
But that's just it, he can't prove himself at this point. IF, the town however had some sort of rolecop, he could investigate d3mon and reveal what he has found. But I find it highly unlikely that the town has a security guard AND a rolecop, as a combo like that would be overpowered. So we're back to square 1. However, no-lynching would be our best option at this point if we somehow figured out how to prove d3mon's townieness.
-
TMCWPTI #2 - Game Thread
Well, if we lynch d3mon and he DOES turn out to be the security guard, this game will rapidly turn into a train wreck. But as Preston stated, there's no real way to verify his townieness, and following a potential scum's lead could be even more dangerous. The problem is that d3mon has been acting increasingly suspiciously so far. If he's not mafia...well, he's not playing townie right (no offense intended)

There are some "basic" roles, like doctor, cop, vigilante, etc, but these can be heavily modded. The mod can also make up unique roles, such as the "Curious Child" in the last game. And there is a deadline to the game, Apr. 15. It's stated on the first page
-
TMCWPTI #2 - Game Thread
I think d3mon should roleclaim. In a bad situation like this, the best you can do is reveal the whole truth. That's what essentially saved my neck in the last game, when I got into that awkward situation.
-
TMCWPTI #2 - Game Thread
Well, I guess there are two alternatives here: 1, d3mon is mafia and he wants to save himself from an impending lynch by claiming a power role. 2, d3mon really is town and he likely has some sort of power role (either security guard, friendly neighbor, insomniac, and curious child). In this case I believe he'll be the main target of the mafia during the night. While Insomniac and Curious Child was near-useless, the security guard role was pretty buff and I don't think the mafia are going to risk letting someone like that live.

Since I assume Narsis is joking, I don't really have people that I'm getting a scummy vibe from, but d3mon's janitor theory is a little wild and illogical - seriously, why would mafia hint at their role? This makes him seem a little suspicious in my eyes. As for the April 1 jokes, I wouldn't give them a lot of attention, I think we're better off disregarding them as a whole. That said, I think it's time to end the jokes, they confuse the game.
