  1. Of course, no one is trying to outright repeal the 2nd... they can't get it off the ground because they know they will lose. The things that come to mind, just sitting here, are the efforts to ban handguns, ban semi-automatic rifles, and ban magazines over 5 rounds. It was written when we only had single shot muskets... "shouldn't it only apply to owning muskets?". Conceal Carry is illegal in some states... that means if you don't wear it on your hip like Butch Cassidy, you're a criminal. "They" are Democrats... and this is just a few examples of how stupid "they" are. I don't wish misery on people... just Democrats. Ah so Democrats aren't people so we should just ship them off to camps to be disposed of right? Good to see you smug about holding that opinion. I personally would not be able to convince myself I was on the moral high ground while ripping my play book straight from Mein Kampf.
  2. Who is trying to just outright repeal the 2nd amendment? They, they the ominous they? So we refused to dive into the feelings of superiority and went back around to wishing suffering and misery on people because that disagree with you.
  3. Yes, you did. I watched the clip you posted, and the glaring thing that is missing is the question he was answering. Democrats will do anything to abolish the 2nd Amendment... ANYTHING. It's the number one wish on their list. It's not about the children. It's not about mass shootings. It's not about any shootings at all. They really don't care about people. They care about changing the Government, and they can't do that under the U.S. Constitution. If they can change the Government, they can make the people do whatever they wish them to do. The question was obviously from a Democrat that was declaring that gun deaths are enough of a reason to abolish the 2nd Amendment. The 2nd Amendment protects the Constitution from destruction. Mr. Kirk was defending the Constitution... because the 2nd Amendment is the absolute most important part of it. You wanted to make a joke that he deserved it. I don't think it was funny. I posted a clip of him speaking. I said nothing of him deserving what happened. I said nothing of abolishing the 2nd amendment. Are you projecting? Am I missing something here? The constitution actually provides for "changing" the government through amendments, therefore under the constitution that can make changes to the government but again claiming a unified desire across such a wide group that is "everything left of here" is folly.
  4. So, you're saying that anyone that supports those old obsolete pieces of paper called the U.S. Constitution deserve to be killed? I said no such thing. I said he espoused an ideal that some gun deaths are an acceptable sacrifice in order to maintain our second amendment right. I'm not celebrating his death nor martyring the man. I can't and won't speak for the "left" as a whole, as the "left" you speak of encompasses many different opinions and values don't align with your own. To claim that there is a universal position of such a wide ranging group other than their disdain of Trump would be a lie. In my own case from conversations previously held on this forum as well as conversations I've had IRL, its not a matter of "cannot 'win' on the issues". I have found that most debates break down immediately because neither side trusts the others sources. We try to discuss and instead we fight about how each sides media sources are in fact propaganda machines. Most often I find that while those on the left continue to try to engage in that conversation those on the right take that stalemate and instead of considering for one moment that Fox news is lying to them they declare themselves victorious and that the 'lib' is just an upset 'snowflake' for continuing to try to engage in the debate. If that's y'all's idea of trying to reach an understanding its no wonder there have been so many shootings in this country. I don't know what "worst impulses" you're referring to here but you are choosing to infantilize anyone who doesn't align with your own political views. Do you really view yourself as so superior? That mindset could not be more antithetical to the ideals this nation is built on.
  5. I don't know why people are so upset about it. He said he thought it was worth it to have some gun deaths every year in order to have the second amendment. Bro put his money where his mouth was.
  6. Apart from you no one voted to lynch on D2. Only Zach voted no lynch. COD and cap also withheld from voting and isoc disappeared. However it's interesting that you are singling me out only. No lynch votes do not inherently favor scum. Doing so now would favor scum. We had hoped to buy time for the cop to get some results to claim but the scum got lucky and killed him. iSoc has been very quiet through Day 2 and no posts yet Day 3 (though I hadn't posted today yet either until now.) It seemed oddly convenient that other than the posts at the beginning of the day where Imran attempted to paint himself as a townie which initiated an argument he disappeared until the end of the day and then dropped a "sorry Ive been busy with IRL". Entirely possible but seems a little odd. Voting early on no information helps scum immensely if you are town. If you vote a townie they can both bandwagon the vote through, which will guarantee them a win. With the gov in play I doubt the scum will try to bandwagon on in a mislynch. The governor role is still in play, we just have never hit the vote threshold to hammer anyone yet so that role has been negated by inactivity. But if Scum did bandwagon and that resulted in a hammer, the governor could step in during twilight to stop it. You are both correct, I've been misremembering the Governor role for some reason thinking it was a one time claim to get a extra vote role (which is mayor iirc.) My bad for being incorrectly alarmist about the early vote. No lynch votes do not inherently favor scum. Doing so now would favor scum. Day two, there was not much to glean or talk about, so no reason to post fluff. Going back through the days, you really haven't added much besides being a mirror to what Imran is posting. My reference to claiming being busy IRL was in reference to Imran, which is why that sentence refers to Imran. I try to skip lines when I'm moving to my next point, so the fact that the previous sentence was about you was not supposed to inform the topic of the next sentence. I understand most people do not post in that format, so it isn't inherently obvious. I'm not sure what you mean by being a mirror to what Imran is posting? I was pretty active and involved in the discussions on D2. I understand you may have missed most of that discussion since you didn't really participate on D2, but it seems a bit odd to now go back after you've been missing from all discussion and accuse me of not having "added much".

  8. No Lynch and Scum Lynch will keep us alive, mislynch will give mafia the win (eventually baring inactivity). No lynch gives the cop another night to find scum. If nothing changes..... Vote: No Lynch 1) point the finger at Captain? 2) point the finger at me/ 3) Vote - no lynch? Interesting? it may be thin but that's about all it takes in this game, Vote- Zacch I agree and I'm leaning that way myself, but would like to hear a bit more before putting an official vote. Actually, NE, where did Zaach point the finger at you, I can't seem to recall. Zacch simply pointed out that NE seemed to be attempting to remove themself from the group you were referring to when you said multiple people "bandwagoned" onto your opinion by referring to that group as "They" insinuating that they were not part of that group when they were. I'm leaning Zacch's way on this one that it was a fairly obvious observation and that making something of it would be a little bit suspicious. Its hard to say if CJF was attempting to do so, or just putting it out there as something he found suspicious, which I believe is fair enough though nothing worth drawing any real suspicions on by itself. NE's response in attempting to remove themself from the group that CJF F.O.S.'d and then putting a vote on Zacch for pointing out that odd behavior is of far more note to me than anything else so far today. I don't have a good read on NE as a player so it's hard for me to place if this is scum behavior or errant townie behavior. Also how do you point to his vote for no lynch with his stated reasoning for voting no lynch despite having some suspicions as a suspicious behavior. A mislynch leads to scum win so Zacch voted accordingly so as not to end the game early when the town has another day to gather information, and yet you use that as reasoning to back up a vote on him? I'm not putting a vote down yet for the same reason Zacch voted no lynch, but I'm HEAVILY F.O.S.ing on NE right now, and the fact that CJF is "leaning that way" is of concern to me as well.
  9. i don't know about that, but it is curious, unless you are attempting to throw everybody off the scent, On night 1 with no other info? Seems like a bit of a stretch. While I am happy that others agree with my statements, I find it very curious that they followed me like an easy to follow bandwagon... It was kind of an obvious opinion to come to, I don't think it has anything to do with following you, but feel free to keep it in the back of your mind as the game progresses if you find it odd.
  10. On night 1 with no other info? Seems like a bit of a stretch.
  11. With a cop and governor in the game, blind lynches on D1 is not a good idea, provided everyone is active. ^^^ Unvote Glad to see everyone chiming in. hoping it continues.
  12. Speaking of inactives, my bad didn't realize the game had started before the holiday. Vote: Zacch Just cause.
  13. Ill play if signups are still open
  14. Unfortunate that my trip lined up like I did, didn't even get my action in for the last night which was going to be a commute. >.> GG town, sounds like I would have been dead anyway on the next day.
  15. So you think VGM is scum so you are voting? Or are you voting just to be on the wagon? I have seen no post from you that says you are suspicios of VGM. So why are you voting for her? You have agreed to some of mine and Zacchs posts but also agreed with some of VGMs. I am unclear what your actual stance is. Do you think VGM is the scum or no? Anyway, with LS also finally posting we now have no townies coming forward to take credit for the shot at iSoc, so I think we can be sure that scum shot iSoc. The suspicion seems to land on either me or vgm. Im obviously not voting for myself when I know Im town and theres no additional information to be gained by voting myself out. I still think that the suspicion on me is based on a post which was without real substance. You asked me to elaborate and I did, and you tore apart my elaboration, which is fine, but there is still a statistical probability based on pure number of townies vs scum. You can start talking about the skill of the various players which may play into their decision making but we are still talking about statistics. Which means a one word answer of "math" is still accurate even if we come to different conclusions. Especially when we are talking about me giving an answer to the question of how someone else reached a conclusion which I obviously cannot know their thought process without them explaining which they had not done yet.
