  1. No, it's not a Souq and it's not Northern Africa. You are on the right track though.
  2. Correct region. The building type is closer than "holy place" but can you be more specific?
  3. No, Peggy is not lost in the Americas.
  4. No, the building it is not associated with religion (as far as I can tell).
  5. Indeed! You've found Peggy again Since that took over a page, Peggy gives you another star. You're now in the lead with 4** onbekende: 4** FOReverNShade: 3 War 2nd Horseman: 2 Theophilos: 1 sap3179: 1 Rhizoctonia: 1 Peggy is lost again! She is waiting by the historic landmark depicted by this watercolor painting. What is the city and type of building? (Thanks, Photoshop watercolor filter!) http://i.imgur.com/Q9z69T8.jpg
  6. In this map of that park, the desired D## road is in the light green zone (Aire optimale d'adhesion). Google Maps mark that as part of the park, while Bing Maps only marks the dark green zone as part of the park. So depending on your interpretation, the road in question is either inside or below the park.
  7. Yes, you're right, that would have been a better clue for maybe after the first or second guess Yes, it is in the northwest part of Alps-Maritimes. Sure, the road is at an elevation of around 1550m. Here's another hint that might help a little bit… in addition to the skis, Peggy has also seen the occasional electric six-seater golf cart.
  8. The name of the road is in the format "D##", where each # is a number. I guess you would call that 2 numbers. Peggy has been watching all the caravans drive by with long sticks on their roofs. I'm told that the sticks might have been skis. (hint hint)
  9. Okay. Yes, the road pictured is a D-Road.
  10. Yes. But aren't almost all roads down there either D-roads or M-roads? I guess a few of them are N-roads or E-roads.
  11. How close do you have to be to be in the valley? I'd have to say no.
  12. Indeed, it is one of those departments. The one that doesn't have "Hautes" in its name, to be a bit more precise.
  13. It's actually none of those departments.
  14. France is the correct country Now time to drill down on regions/towns/roads.
  15. That is correct! That is close-ish but not correct.
  16. Well done! FOReverNShade: 3 onbekende: 3* War 2nd Horseman: 2 Theophilos: 1 sap3179: 1 Rhizoctonia: 1 Here's another street view image. Can you find the location on the map? (Peggy, be careful; you really shouldn't be blocking the road like that!) http://i.imgur.com/yds0iNM.jpg
  17. The third one.
  18. Indeed! That might be enough now for you to start diving into Street View. There aren't all that many roads in the Orinoquia that they bothered to map.
  19. You are on the right track. The photo is not from the coastal area, but it is also not really from the mountains or the rainforest. What could that mean?
  20. Indeed. It is the second country on your wonderful list. Now time to start guessing regions/roads/cities.
  21. South America is correct, but Bolivia and Uruguay are not.
  22. They do look African… but there are places outside of Africa that have similar flora. (Peggy is not in Africa this time.)
  23. I like your logic! But sadly, Peggy is in neither Europe nor the USA. Try something a bit more southern.
  24. Correct! You are the first to score 3 images! FOReverNShade: 3 onbekende: 2* War 2nd Horseman: 2 Theophilos: 1 sap3179: 1 Rhizoctonia: 1 The next location is from coordinates randomly generated in Google Street View. Here's the challenge for this one: I need you to provide the link to this exact location within Google Street View. I first recommend collectively drilling down on the country and then the road before you start going into Street View. I will provide help along the way of course. (Don't get too dusty, Peggy!) http://i.imgur.com/iHEN979.jpg
  25. Indeed! The "gap" between the mountains is Aasgard Pass, a hiking trail with a remarkable reputation for its difficulty. As one hiker put it, "The ascent up Aasgard Pass into the Enchantments in the Alpine Lake Wilderness has a well-deserved reputation for being difficult and possibly dangerous. In less than a mile, the hiker gains 2,230 feet in elevation." Here is the Wikipedia page I promised: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aasgard_Pass "The Enchantments" is an infamous basin filled with dozens of alpine lakes. It is on National Geographic's list of the world's 100 most beautiful places. The Washington park ranger gives out fewer than half as many camping passes as people apply for. But hey, do you recognize that picture from Wikipedia? Bingo! onbekende gets a point, and I'm going to also give a star since this was a difficult picture taking over a page of posts to resolve. onbekende: 2* War 2nd Horseman: 2 FOReverNShade: 2 Theophilos: 1 sap3179: 1 Rhizoctonia: 1 I've had a week off my Photoshop duties with this last puzzle. I guess this means that it's time for me to fire up the old PS and make you all a new picture! Peggy is a history buff. I need the name of this fort. http://i.imgur.com/UHYGhQW.jpg
