  1. For this elections, the presidential candidates aren't as good as they thought they could be. I support Bernie because his ideologies match up to mine, (kind of. I have a small country mentality #Panamaftw) and because many of his proposals could benefit people that I know and that are close to me. Maybe the free college policy could apply to foreign students and then it would benefit me. But that is it. I think his proposals are the strongest and most meaningful with these presidential candidates. There could be better policies, better proposals and better candidates, but you've gotta take what is given to you so Bernie would be my choice if I were american.

  3. I am not from the United States, and if I were, I wouldn't be a member of any of the parties. While I don't agree at all with the Republicans, the Democrats don't attract me at all. My issue with the Republicans is mostly some beliefs that I find ridiculous. The fact that they don't believe in global warning, or on other scientific values irks me. I believe in science and their reasoning for that is, in my opinion, bullshit. But anyways, Republican policies are not to my agreement. The Democrats, on the other side would attract me more if they weren't as corrupt as they are. Don't get me wrong, I cannot pretend that I know much about the US political system, much less about its laws, but there is something in the Centrism of the Democrats that doesn't fit with me. I am a leftist, not to say that those who believe in something else are wrong, but I think that democratic socialism, as Bernie puts it, is an answer to a problem that we are currrently facing. In a country where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, the middle class is slowly being absorbed into the lower classes. And by socialism, I am not suggesting a pseudo communist country. My belief, and the fact by which I prefer Bernie above other candidates, is that the US can become a country like the Scandinavian countries. Taxes may be high, but those taxes would be used to give education, healthcare and many other basic things for free, something that America lacks in quality. By having government run quality schools and hospitals, the country could become better. Free college, or low tuition college with well trained professors could give access to higher education to those who cannot afford it. And I'm not saying that community colleges are bad, I'm saying they could be better. If the government spent less taxes on the military and focused more on the wellbeing of their population, the quality of life would improve much more and the happiness of citizens would be raised. I may not live in the US, but I have two baby cousins there and I would like to watch them grow up in a country where you don't have to spend your whole life paying student loans for college, or where hospital bills aren't ridiculously high. Maybe I'm dreaming but I think that Bernie Sanders could achieve at least a part of that if he becomes president.

  10. Actually, Dagon is an ancient Semitic god of fertility and fishing. He was a major member of the pantheon of the Philistines.
