I'd pick Obama if I were a US citizen, which I'm not, so...:P

Where are you from?

Hungary

I think I can safely say that European governments in general have an easier time working with Democrat administrations. Since the end of the Cold War that is...

This coming from a Cain Supporter? Please he has more of a chance than that Fraud. He is the GOP Obama.

Since when did I say I would vote for McCain I voted for I don't care. :P

Obama or Romney. The only two capable ones.

I like Ron Paul for his honesty and integrity but loathe his political views. Cutting 1.4 trillion from the US budget will destory you guys. He also dosn't seem to know about the Articles of Confederation. A bit odd for a self proclaimed constitutionalist.

N.B. I am not American but have an interest in US politics.

Obama's a dirty liar and a wolf in sheep's clothing.

I voted other. I don't particularly like any of the candidates as I expect essentially the same from all of them except the ones who suck especially.

What do you mean? I think he is probably fairly Knowledgeable. Haven't ever heard him speak about the subject though.

At least someone gets it. Reason I like RP is because he is different from the rest.

Just went and read up on some stuff Ron Paul has said, and I went ahead and changed my vote to Ron Paul.

I'm wary, because I thought Obama was gonna be a magical wonder fix and, well, <_<, but I think Paul may actually not be full of crap.

Cool, glad to hear!

Let's go Newt! Obama will probably win again though, even though I essentially agree with Sir Rebrl's first post up there. Has he delivered on any of his promises or made anything better? What happened to fixing the economy and creating more jobs? What happened to bringing our troops home? Instead, we started a third war. Remember the whole "change" theme? Well, what's changed for the better?

The only notable thing that's happened under his Presidency IMO is the death of Osama Bin Laden, and although he had nothing to do with it other than giving the go ahead for the operation, it will probably be enough to win him a second term. He's lucky it fell into his lap.

Blah voting... In my life time (past 20 years) I have yet to see a president that has actually done anything for the country. I mean quite frankly I find it generally has less to do with who the president is and has more to do with whatever critical event happens to throw itself at us and how the president reacts to it. Generally our entire government plays a reactive game and we find ourselves just trying to catch up, when we finally do we become complacent until **** hits the fan again and people freak out pointing to whoever happens to be sitting in the white house at the time.

I don't see much proactive workings in our government, granted I am not very knowledgeable about government workings so I could just be wrong but I find myself crossing my fingers and hoping to find a group of people who can sit in the government and work proactively, sure you can't be perfect and some ideas will turn bad or not work out but so long as you try your hand at fixing things before they break you at least have more time to correct problems before they become critical issues. However to see that you would have to first change the perspective of the general populace to a larger scope of what is going to help down the road in say 30-40 years rather than our short sightedness of 10-20 years down the road. I think I got off topic here....

TL;DR: I an undecided as I am unsure any have the means, to take a proactive role as is needed from a president.

American politics is horrific. Its to right wing by far, seriously you call your democrats left wing???

You need a few socialist governments to come in set up some decent infrastructure, invest in hospitals, public transport etc. spend your way out of the recession and then if you feel that your horrificly right wing ideals are correct then go back to them but with some great infrastructure built.

Note: I am English I vote conservative(right wing UK)

For the most part, I don't like Republicans or Democrats, and I generally look at them and don't see the difference.

I also hate the two-party system in general as it creates droves of people that vote for someone without knowing jack about their platform, just cause the person says they're republican or democrat.

I Agree actually, reason I support Ron Paul. He actually has ideas that are drastically different. He even acknowledges the Presidents power should be limited. Most powers that the Executive Branch has assumed within the last 100 years actually belong to Congress. Example the current conflict in Lybia, we have been in conflict longer than the Powers that the President hold. Congress should have the authority at this point to decide whether or not we continue with operations. One thing RP will do is withdraw most troops from areas we occupy now. He believes in a Non Interventionists Foreign Policy.

Blah voting... In my life time (past 20 years) I have yet to see a president that has actually done anything for the country.

Bill Clinton never did anything for this country? I'd say he was the most effectual president we have had in decades.

Also, my vote will likely go to Obama, although I wouldn't mind shying away and voting for Romney if he is confirmed as the Republican candidate after their primaries.

On an added note, I am glad Ron Paul is retiring and heading back home to live in his Victorian-era fantasy world of supply side economics and laissez-faire capitalism. I second the Articles of Confederation comment. We need a balanced central government. Not one too overly powerful like that seen in the Cold War era nor one too weak to be effective in doing anything other than admonish states and unable to organize national defense and nation-wide public works projects.
