Welcome To Dr. Rhizo

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

So I've been through a whole lot of situations in my life growing up, especially with relationships.  So most things, I can relate to, and pretty much all my close friends come to me if they have a problem and want advise.  I was told by many I should of went to school to be a shrink.  So if you got an issue or problem that you want to discuss or advise, feel free to hit me up on here on through PM.

BTW....I'm not an actual doctor

So this girl I'm seeing now in the same grad school program as me is 27, and I'm 22. . .and she doesn't let me forget it haha. Any advice?

I am assuming she gives you little jabs and jokes about your age.  I would imagine it's just her way of flirting.  I don't know her personality but if she's likes to joke around and laugh...I'd give it right back to her, with things like, "you should feel lucky to score such a young buck like me," or just like some jokes about being "old."  Obviously don't do this if she is a more serious type person, as then you're liable to just piss her off.  My wife is actually older then me, but only a year, but I love to give her some jabs about her age if the time is right, like say, she says man my arm hurts or back hurts...i just go with, "yea you're getting pretty old there, not a young person like me."  But she is a sarcastic type girl, so know I can get away with it without offending her.

My right shin is completely numb....

My eyes hurt

Haha, well again, not a doctor...this thread was mainly for relationship/hardship/life advice from someone who has experience a lot throughout my life at younger age.

For those, I'd say stop running your shin into walls and go see a eye doctor

Some of my most enjoyable exploits have been with women a few years older than me.

My eyes hurt

Go to sleep. In what way to they hurt? Any times of day worse? Have they changed colour? Eye lids become thicker? Do they feel dry? etc etc.

Impressive... Take up soccer (footy if you're on my side of the pond), it's probably nerve damage.

My boyfriend sends me gifts often, but I don't think I have given him something once. I think he understands that I have no money and am paying my tuition by my self, and he hasn't said anything about it. Should I be worried that I have hurt his feelings?

I'll let Rhizo answer, but the way I'd see it is that he chose to be with you and hasn't left. You could ask him whether it bothers him, however there are things much more important in relationships than the giving of physical gifts.

I wouldn't.  I'm not sure how long you have been with him, but if it's been awhile then I would think he understands as he's still with you.  Obviously he hasn't broke it off due to this, and he hasn't brought it up, so I wouldn't think it's something that really bothers him.  That being said, if you want to make sure, you could always just have a talk and explain that you appreciate and enjoy the gifts he's given you, and that you'd love to be able to do the same for him, but due to being strapped for money due to paying for your tuition you are unable to do so.  If he has a problem with it after then, then he's obviously not someone you should be wasting your time with in the first place, as a healthy relationship needs understanding between both parties.  I think if it's something that bothers you/worries you, it's always just better to get it out and make sure they understand how you're feeling and also understand why you're not able to, though you wish you could.

Another thing is you could always look at ways of giving something but not cost you a fortune.  I'd imagine a card, either from a store or even printed off computer/handwritten with a nice note inside is something that would bring him joy.  He obviously cares for you if he's willing to spend money on you, so a card is just a little way of saying you appreciate it and return the feeling that you obviously care a lot about him to.  I always was one to give my GF's gifts, as it was just my way of showing I care and they mean a lot to me, but I personally never expected anything in return, and just a simple reassurance in a card of professing their feelings for me was enough to always make me happy.  Simple, non-expensive things can mean just as much or more then some more expensive gift.

There was I tihnking we could exchange contact details incase you have any jobs going!

p.s. I'm happy to discuss medical things, but NOT give medical advice (legal reasons etc).

What a coincidence! I'm happy to give medical advice but NOT discuss medical things (I don't know medical shit)

Blade, yeah. Im not really sure, but Im assuming it could be from when I raged out and kicked the thin side of a wooden door. It left a pretty decent scar and it never hurt.

On the other hand, IDK when the numbness even started. I just noticed it one day and it never went away.

Help! I've fallen and I can't get up!

I have the opposite problem. I get up but then won't go down. It's a problem at funerals.
