Who Runs America?

Simple question "Who Do You Think Runs America"?

America is crazy I was watching the riots about Trayvon and this one white guy got punched in the face like Zimmerman and he like "What??? "I Voted for OBAMA!" I had to laugh haha

On a more serious not, many people fear the government will be run by a alien group of people. Then this group will make laws that oppress the majority of the lands citizens. Then they will take all power can control what we think, do, where we go, what we eat, our hobbies, jobs, what we buy and so much more.

So who is pulling all the string is this wonderful country?

The idiots are running this country. It is a disgrace we have fallen to such low standards. Long do I earn for the days of Richard Nixon and George H.W. Bush.

If America knows what's best for them(Americans don't because they're idiots) they'll vote for the WASP again. This place needs an intelligent group of individuals who actually know what they are doing. Not a useless social worker or a wannabe cowboy.

This is why aristocracies are better than republics. Meanwhile the sheep will continue to vote for the idiot with the best smile.

Bankers run the world through the force and coercion of government legislature.

Division of the people is only a tactic used to keep people fighting amongst themselves in the same manner that elections in the United States are designed to give people the illusion of choice.  You have no choice.  You get only two options of candidates that have been preselected by lobbyists and special interest groups.

Really the question is not "who" runs America, but "what" runs America.

What runs America right now sadly is called division.

I've been around awhile and politics is a hobby of mine. I have never in my life seen my country as polorized as it is now. Common ground is a thing of the past. There are two sides to everything, and bitter hatred for anyone on the other side. It's really quite frightening from where I sit, and not at all the America I grew up in. Obama promised "Change"... can you feel it yet?

There are two words that I believe have set this country on a path to destruction.

Those words are "entitled" and "tolerance".

When I was a kid the words used were... "No", "Hell No", "Tough Shit", "Get Over It" and "Work It Out".

Now we have to legislate everything and subsidize the failure.

Everyone thinks they're more valuable than they are. That's why income can't keep up with inflation.

The words "Living Wage" are not copasetic with "Market Value".

I'm afraid it won't get better until it gets much worse, because people don't get angry until they start losing. When they get angry and start paying attention to what they vote for... things will slowly get back on a path of prosperity.

I just hope it's not too late... for my kids and theirs.

When Ben Franklin came out of the hall after the founding of our government a woman asked him what form of government they have given them. He replied, "We have given you a Republic Ma'am... If you can keep it". I sure the hell hope we can

This is a good statement but you failed to go into detail about how people are just for the lack of a better word stupid when it comes to politics or just don't care enough to read the bills they blindly vote for or are just so in a frenzy they will throw away rights we had and I'll use a old bill that was passed that I wrote a paper on in high school which was the patriot act 1 and 2 which gave the government more power that people are so shocked about now and as if it was this big shock that the government was doing these things which if we read the bills we have pasted since 9/11 most of them were used for military budgets and more ways to snoop on use or control the things we can and can't do.  But I think the congress is the real force behind who runs the U.S. Obama is just a joke he is only their for public moral.

You are so right... thanks for digging deeper into what I said 6 months ago.

9/11 scared the shit out of a lot of people, and they were willing to sell their freedom by the pound for false security.

Now they are saying "stop", and you can't get the genie back in the bottle.

They use the weakness and fears of the monumentally stupid to buy votes and hold on to power.

If Obamacare is so good for America... why do they keep delaying every aspect of the law that's intended to pay for it?

Yes all good points.

Another important distinction is that the United States has nearly %50 of it's population dependent on government assistance.

“When the people find that they can vote themselves money,

that will herald the end of the republic.”

- Benjamin Franklin
