Well if Theo is scum then why there is no kill tonight?

Wow. That's a great question. Why didn't anyone think of this before?!!

Oh wait. It has already been answered. Like 5 times.

This, my friends, is further evidence of why I believe Lyner is the 3rd member of the scum team.

Okay that one's a fail on my part :P

Okay that one's a fail on my part :P

Couple of quick questions for you before day break, Lyner:

1. Why were you so willing to believe the lightning rod claim?

2. Why were you active lurking?

3. Why did you not take the 2 seconds required to unvote me when I was at L-1 and we still had info that needed to get out?

4. Does a Blascowicz scum flip mean EM is scum? If not who are his partners?

5. Does a Blascowicz scum flip mean Yates is Town? If not why not?

Grazi.

Blascowitz. If you neighborize every person you protect then why am I your only neighbor?

This

Or do you only neighbourise people that you save? Like... Doctor Ned revives the spahgetti monster and now the spaghetti monster is now in a bond with the doctor (not a romantic bond)

1. Because it's too risky? EM hasn't been suspected whatsoever at the time of the claim, not a good time for claiming(a reckless ability, nonetheless) unless he's a town. Unless EM is a scum and he was shifting attention from Imran/Robert.

2. If you're referring to the failure above that's a mistake and it won't happen again. If you're referring to other posts feel free to point it out.

3. Because I believe nobody will hammer you(a bit proven, I'd say) and you'll spill more beans that way.

4. Not necessarily, if Blas flips scum than he might be the mafia neighborizer, EM may or may not be his partner.

5. Yes that means you're town, my dear :P

I probably went about this all the wrong way. I'm a doctor, I make people better. I just wanted everyone to be okay...

I am Doctor Ned, and I'm here on behalf of the Count for... financial reasons. No one know better than the now-deceased Dracula that corpse reanimation makes for a very... lucrative opportunity. Of course, I swore the Hippocraticus oath. I think. And harming is not my trade. But if someone ends up soon after their death, as in, someone tried to kill them during the night, I might not be able to save them... in their natural, living, form.

With the bat dead, fiends preying on us innocent townsfolk, and a lot of scary needles at my disposal, I set up to perform my trade on the recently deceased. Which, due to my human limitation of non-ubiquity, find myself hard to perform to the best of my abilities. The first night, I failed to protect my target, but the second night... out of sheer unexpected chance, I found the agonizing EM on my way to Yates' house and helped him... recover. Of course, what with the zomb... recuperating stage he's at the moment, that requires him to be my neighbor for obvious medical reasons.

And that, my friends, is what happened. A lot of events converging upon the figure of the lightning rod and a rare (Exotic, if I might say myself) breed of doctor not stemming from formal education. I must admit my looks are less than reputable, and my mustache has made grown men weep in tears in sight of it's glory, but there are stranger creatures in this room, and my intent is not to kill or maim any of you. Unless they have been killed or maimed already.

I've baked some brownies as well! You want one?

If there is another doc out there I would like to hear a role claim.

What makes you think we have a doctor - considering we have two BP's and your claimed lightning rod to stop a scum kill?

I swore the Hippocraticus oath. I think. And harming is not my trade.

Are you making this part up or did it come from your role PM?

First off, it is the Hippocratic Oath, not Hyppocraticus oath (any doctor would know this.)

@Yates, because of this basic error, I'm pretty certain he made that paragraph up, though his entire post seemed to be a dramatic monologue.

It is concordant with the role PM, but I made it up :P

Yeah. That's the part he needed to answer for himself. Please don't run interference on obvious traps. It defeats the whole purpose.

Well I'll be damned. I might not have a fancy medical degree, and my experience involves dead people and a bottle of whiskey, but if you start arguing about a misspelling in a word and automatically assume I'm scum, you might be reading too hard between the lines.

Almost desperately hard.

...if you start arguing about a misspelling in a word and automatically assume I'm scum, you might be reading too hard between the lines.

Which is why I asked if that came from you or from your post.

What's your response to 823 - minus the flavor question? Still looking forward to seeing your responses to that. A Town Neighborizer/Doc should have no problems answering those questions honestly.

A. Kindly point to a game in the entire history of internet mafia with a Doctor/Neighborizer. Thanks.

I'm afraid I can't establish a precedent regarding this, but this game.

B. Kindly explain why your predecessor name claimed a villian that is not a movie monster. Thanks.

Because he's (I'm) not?

C. Kindly explain who the Town Investigator is if not me. Thanks.

Well, I can't say who is, but I can say that you're not. I am sure that EM is the lightning rod, and if you tried to investigate anyone last night, it would have been him.

You're claiming you did not investigate anyone last night? Why would you forgo to use one of the most useful night abilities? So either you're telling the truth and not done an investigation last night (which was pretty stupid), or you did and investigated EM (which you claimed you didn't; making you a liar) or you're not an investigator (and lying again)

So, which one is it?

With 10 alive, it takes 6 to lynch.

Blaskowicz is the current wagon leader at L-1

Deadline is Monday, January 6th, 2014 @ 08:15 EDT

You're claiming you did not investigate anyone last night?

Did I claim that? Funny. Can you quote that for me? I'm too lazy to embarrass you the way I did Lyner.

Ahhh who am I kidding:

"I tracked Daniel to nowhere."

"I tracked Daniel. Daniel went nowhere."

"I tracked Daniel Vigrid last night and received 'no result.' That means either I was blocked or he didn't go anywhere last night."

And before admitting to my gambit [thus the real result crumb] "I will say that Daniel did not visit me."

Your scum strategy to gloss over important information and questions is REALLY bad and has been blown completely open. This goes for you, EM, and Lyner:

"I don't understand the Town motivation in ignoring ALL the important questions... That is NOT Town behavior."

And don't get me started on the active lurking.  Though you've been good about it, the two people in your slot before you were TERRIBLE.

C. Kindly explain who the Town Investigator is if not me. Thanks.

I can say that you're not.

Ok. Maybe you're right. How do we go about proving I'm not? Would a counter claim suffice? Seems like a good idea to me.

Why did you ignore this vital question?

"Given that you ARE a doctor [as you claim], do you see any reason for a Town Cop/Watcher/Tracker NOT to counter claim me as we stand here on Day 3? "

Isn't that how we'd catch lying scum Yates and prevent a mislynch on the ever important Neighborizing Doc?  Or have you come to the inevitable conclusion that it would require you to out the 3rd member of your scum team publicly?

You're claiming you did not investigate anyone last night? Why would you forgo to use one of the most useful night abilities? So either you're telling the truth and not done an investigation last night (which was pretty stupid), or you did and investigated EM (which you claimed you didn't; making you a liar) or you're not an investigator (and lying again)

I thought this was my counterclaim?

And I love your argument. "Investigate me on day 3! Then I can prove my innocence when you're already dead!" I could say the thing about myself, that they should spare me the lynching and investigate me tonight.

Also, if I were the Investigator I'd keep quiet so that I'm not revealed and targeted tomorrownight. Why do you want townsfolk to come out to the open so fervently?

Also, if I were the Investigator I'd keep quiet so that I'm not revealed and targeted tomorrownight. Why do you want townsfolk to come out to the open so fervently?

Right.  So you continue to ignore the pertinent questions and points.  Noted.

If this is how you would play the role?  You would be stupid.  Check it:

1. Investigator would have 2 investigations

2. Those investigations would implicate scum or clear Town

3. Investigator would be protected at least for tonight if you are a Doc

4. Investigator would have a 3rd investigation tomorrow

5. Investigator counterclaiming me catches me as scum without wasting an investigation

6. There are only 3 people that could even BE an investigator

7. Presumably at least 1 of those people would be my scum buddy [leaving 50/50 odds]

8. Given 7 - what makes you think an investigator would live through tonight?

9. Given 8 - why would they die without revealing their investigation results?

It is quite obvious that there is no reason for an investigator to stay hidden at this point.  Even your scum buddy Mango knows what's up.  That's why he wont answer the question publicly.

It is also quite obvious that I am so "fervently" looking for a counter claim because that counter claim would be proven false when I was finally mislynched to save your scum slot.  Thus, I will have confirmed my suspicion that Lyner is your third scum buddy - assuming there are 3 scum.

As scum, I'd have no need to push this angle because if we didn't kill the investigator tonight, my partner would kill the investigator tomorrow night.  What say you?

3. Investigator would be protected at least for tonight if you are a Doc

Well, I am getting lynched this evening, no? Hard to protect someone when you're dead.

I still haven't heard a reason as to why Blask doesn't already have a neighbor from night 1.

Because no one was successfully protected on night 1. I can only neighbor who I successfully protect.
