I've been working on a trivia channel on coldfront. It's still in beta, and not online 100% of the time. Currently active, and I'll be trying to get a dedicated trivia bot for it to go all the time. For now, it will only be available when I'm on IRC, though.

Also feel free to provide me with questions and answers here. I'd like to have an IRON-themed trivia contest or something sometime. But I'm alpha sized and can't donate anything yet. If we can get a good pool of IRON questions.... Hrmmm.

It uses two perl scripts in Xchat, dunquiz, and a slightly tweaked version of Uberscript.

Do you need help with the questions?  Some of them are kind of archaic.  Also, it would be cool if you could fix the case sensitivity.

As far as I know, the case sensitivity can't be fixed with this bot. I have worked on fixing the bugs in display and answer parsing, as well as done a little cleanup. If you want to try your hand at making the bot case insensitive, I'll send you the PERL script.   Otherwise, send questions my way, and I'll be glad to put them in the new list when it's done. The questions are from a sample database of 5000 questions. My next plan is to get a better question list, as this one is pretty darn lousy. 

 

(So, update, the bot should be working considerably better now, though still not near perfect.)

 

Edit: Actually, just tried some case sensitivity stuff, doesn't appear to be the issue so much as spaces and poorly formatted questions in the database... hmmm... Just send me questions. )
