I plan on staying a freelancer/merc doing my own thing and what not and am curious if anyone else has supported or plans on supporting this game.

I am signed up on the website for some reason (think I did ages ago) but I don't think I have supported anything, appears to seem a lot more refined then when I was last on here before - if I acquire cash moneys maybe I might pledge but probably not.

I am going to as soon as i get a little extra cash my friend has already spent $250 so he is set and willing to help out others.

This looks like it's going to required $$$ investment to make things a level field.

Not really, you don't get anything you couldn't otherwise get in game however since this game is entirely paid for by the fans, those who donate are given thank you ships to start with. It's not a pay to win model is what I'm trying to get at but yes I would imagine having a ship before launch would make the starting easier for you.

 

I personally have the F7C-S Ghost, I'm hoping to do some long range recon and sneak behind enemy lines and all that fun stuff with it. I was looking into some of the guilds and what not but if enough people here want to start our own I would be okay putting in some extra time to get it organized.

 

Let me know how many would be interested in setting up a guild or alternatively if you have a good organization you would recommend it would be cool to get people we already know from the IRON/CN community together.

does this game look like its going to live up to the legacy of games like X wing and X extension?
