This one is tricky

There's English on the sign, which is why I originally chose North America and Great Britain, but then when I looked closer I noticed there was some Arabic-like language on the sign as well, thus the Middle East and Africa guesses. Now looking up languages on Wikipedia though, the sign doesn't look anything like Arabic... clearly I need to take a class in linguistics before I graduate...  

I guess my next guess would be, elsewhere in Europe? (I'm thinking somewhere in the Balkans perhaps...)
