April 19, 201511 yr comment_772973 What do people think of the new Star Wars trailer?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ngElkyQ6RhsUnlike the first one for this film, it does a pretty good job of instilling excitement for the film. It also seems to have been designed to hit nostalgia buttons pretty effectively, so maybe that opinion is not universal. One element that is interesting is that in what sounds like Luke narrating, he says that his father "has" a strong connection to the force, which given the events in episode VI would seem to be impossible. April 19, 201511 yr comment_773109 36 million views in 3 days. Wow. It will be fun to see the old characters again. Where's Lando Calrissian at 78? The Empire Strikes Back was always my favorite of the bunch. Return of the Jedi was too cartoonish for me with the Ewoks. I hate puppets in movies. I was always a bigger fan of Star Trek, but I will see this, and I will have to watch the others that I didn't pay much attention to in between. Hollywood has run out of ideas. Another summer of sequels and remakes, but it makes money I guess. Report
April 19, 201511 yr comment_773110 The trailer looks pretty good and definitely plays on nostalgia with Luke's narration and appearances by Han and Chewbacca. I think JJ Abrams will do a good job with it. I can't wait for Episode VII. Report
April 19, 201511 yr comment_773117 I only moderately like the Empire Strikes Back, because of this: http://www.wired.com/2013/02/battle-of-hoth/ Report

April 21, 201511 yr comment_773451 Interesting how they are going to connect the Episode III and Episode IV. That's a good start. Movie is going to be called Rogue One and coming out a year after Star wars VII is released. Here's the link: http://bgr.com/2015/04/20/star-wars-rogue-one-trailer-leak/ Report
April 21, 201511 yr comment_773472 Indeed, "The Resistance" hints that the rebels are FAR from victory and it actually sounds like they're on the defensive. I didn't find the prequels as bad as most did, I just see it cluttered with a bunch of unnecessary things and many missed opportunities. But one thing that it actually got better is the politics aspect, which always intrigued me - in fact, it was one of the major complaints by some old fans; "Too much politics!" I think it was a great addition. Edited April 21, 201511 yr by ccabal86 Report
