The Glowing One
Just got a job offer for Ankara, Turkey and I accepted it...looks like I'll be moving in August - September time frame. I've been to Ankara several time on temporary duty so I know a little bit about the place.
Any member from there or are currently residing in Turkey? Just wondering.

Yeah, I was hoping to return to Asia but I guess it was not meant to be...I put in bids for several jobs all over the places...I had applied for Jakarta, Indonesia; Rangoon, Burma; Ankara, Turkey; London, England and the Hague, Netherlands...
Interviewed for all and landed Ankara, my wife prefer to be in Asia though but it makes no different to me as long as it's oversea...can't wait to get to Ankara....

I've been to Istanbul several times also...don't really have any particular question right now but was just wondering if any of our members are from there. My tour of duty would be 3 years there so I am looking forward to it.

I've been to Ankara but for 5 days....lol. Its a cool city. Lots of museums and Roman buildings too.
Though Bursa is the best Turkish city that I've seen as far as living is concerned.

It's official, received my marching order today and I will most likely be in Ankara by mid-Jan 2016. So much to do, got to sell my house here in San Diego and practically jump through a very small loop to get everything done ad be there by then. They want me there by no later than January 18, 2016....it's going to be a very busy two months for me. Totally looking forward to it and ready to start the new year in a new surrounding...

The Glowing One
Just want to let y'all know that I finally made to Ankara last month, been very busy as you may have guessed, practically hit the ground running. Looks like things are not letting up around here either. Can't wait to get my household goods, was told they would not be here until late April and for now I have to use my cell phone to do this. Hopefully, there will be some bones left for me to mop up with our current 'conflict'. Enjoy the fight and if needs be, please contact me in-game if I could be of any assistance.
